Reviews on Fusion food in Lima, Lima Region, Peru. Lima, founded by Francisco Pizarro in 1535, is a fascinating city and a treasure trove of history. Explore ancient Incan archeological sites, or stroll through the elegant cathedrals and opulent palaces dating from Spanish colonial times. Downtown Lima is crowded, but you'll enjoy exploring the city's neighborhoods—especially the beachfront areas, which have great shopping and dining and fabulous hotels.

Located in the traditional district of Barranco, Amoramar is installed in a republican house with a minimalist and contemporary patio; offering its clients dishes from today, along with classics from always. In Amoramar, enjoy lunch in the shadows of the
Everything was delicious. Started with a small serving of pork belly with carrots and zucchini, on the house snack that was served before we ordered. For starter, we had The Ceviche Nikkei and the Ajillo Oriental, they were so delicious. Their Pisco Sour was amazing!!! The tenderloin steak over baby patatoes and baby corn were so tender and delish. The fried rice with shrimp... everything was just flavorful and satisfying. Little bites of cookies and brownies were served with coffee. I highly recommend this restaurant. A reservation is recommended, being that the location is not someone you will easily stumble into. The ambiance is just as amazing as the food.

Sorry to say I was negatively surprized, very disappointed with several items at the restaurant. Nearly all fish and cebiche restaurants in Peru put a small dish of 'cancha' on the table when clients are looking at the menu. The waiters refill the dish as the contents disappear. ''Cancha'' is an Andean snack made from what are usually very dry, toasted and salted corn seeds. They should be very tender, flakey and crunchy, nearly disappearing in the mouth when chewed. What we were served was hard, damp, and left chunks in the mouth. Really difficult to imagine a restaurant with such poor quality 'cancha' that is usually tender delight and a must for tourists to try. Needless to say, there was no need to refill our dish. A great Peruvian staple at cebiche restaurants is sliced cold octopus covered in a purple olive cream sauce....again a disaster. Octopus can be very hard if it is old or over-cooked. The best octopus is tender and cut very thin from the smaller parts of the tentacles. Nikko's version was hard, cut too thick, nearly unchewable. ''Chicha morada'' is a very typical drink made with purple corn boiled with several types of fruit including pinapple and spiced with cinnamon bark and cloves. It is one of the most popular of all Peruvian drinks and people buy it in liter pitchers to accompany the meal. Ours had the typical good flavors but it was so overly sweet that it was very unpleasant. Was there even one redeeming feature you will ask? Well yes, had I been better informed I would have ordered a dish of quinua prepared with soy sauce and the ingredients commonly found in Chinese rice. On the menu it is called ''chaufa de quinua.'' Yes, everyone tried a bit from one order and enjoyed it. ''Quinua'' for those who are not familiar with the name, is an Andean grain, very high in vegetable protein and very tasty depending on its preparation.

An authetic Italian vibe makes Rigoletto a gathering place for locals and hip visitors. The menu is traditional Tuscan with varied daily special and samplinig of regional dishes, excellent food, great service and great atmosphere.
When in Peru use Trip Advisor! This restaurant was very easy to find thank goodness! We just arrived from Cusco and we were famished. For appetizers we had bruschetta (delicious!) and calamari (Absolutely one of the best weâve ever had! Crispy outside and moist inside!)For drinks we had pisco sour and other drink (sorry I forgot the names)For our entrees we had rigatoni, ravioli, beef with pasta and fried Cui! Everything we ordered was so delicious! Surprisingly we really enjoyed the Cui! EXCELLENT!!!!! Our first time having fried Cui. It tasted like Popeyes Chicken! We finished everything we didnât have space for dessert ââï¸HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rigoletto Lima!!!!!

Wow. Ranked #7 in Lima? Right up there with the world class restaurants? Even taking into consideration the price difference, I just don't get it. Peruvian? Really? There were a few innovations on the menu but basically this is an upmarket burger restaurant similar to what you would find in most North American cities. If you don't want any surprises, and want food an atmosphere similar to a bar/grill at home, at those same prices... this is the place for you. Service was "fine". Food was "fine". No complaints. No accolades.

Bistro 400 has a trendy modern look, both in terms of its decor and food. The Amazonian paella was tasty, especially the accompanying hot sauce. Desserts include traditional Peruvian ingredients and are beautifully presented. We celebrated my wifeâs birthday at Nanka last night. Three other birthday parties were also present. We had the Sudado de Tributo, Alpaca Tonnato, Ensalada de Estación and Verduras de Lujo. They provide a complimentary chocolate moose roll with a dark chocolate coating, totally awesome. The service was superior in all regards. They greeted and treated us like long lost friends. Good for the food and enjoy the service. A great evening.Dear fishbrother1We appreciate your comment, we love knowing that our customers feel satisfied every time they visit us. My meal started out well. I was dining early, so my drink order was taken quickly and the delicious focaccia bread arrived immediately. I ordered classic ceviche and the duck rice. The ceviche arrived in a huge portion - like two cups of ceviche for one person. It was flavorful and fresh, but the portion was too big. After I ate half of it, the waiter asked if it was okay. I said it was good, but too big. He said he would leave it to allow me to pick at it and mix it with my entree. The duck rice entree was good, but also very large. I finished what I could eat and left the rest. I was then left alone for about 30 minutes, while nobody stopped by the table or asked if I needed anything else, I tried to make eye contact multiple times, even waiving at waiters. Nobody stopped. They were hitting their peak busy time, but with more than ten waiters working, they easily could have checked in. The service was not bad, just slow. The food was good, but the portions were large. And the waiters made you feel like you were wasting food if you didn't finish everything.Dear kbrosnah, Thanks for visiting us, we appreciate your feedback. We hope to receive you soon in Nanka La Molina or in San Isidro. We will be waiting to provide you with the best Nanka experience. Best regards!

Mar y Selva is a small place offering a variety of Peruvian food. I could not choose so I started with the causa acevichada, which was brilliant, and patacones en salsa especial. The salsa, yet again, was brilliant, while the patacones lacked some crispness. Finally, I had the tacu tacu en picante de marisco. As I have not had this before I don't know how it's supposed to be. That said I was slightly disappointed. It looked great but lacked a bit in taste. Hello JanB420 thank you very much for your comment, we are very happy for your gratifying evaluation ! We hope you come back soon, it will always be a pleasure to serve you.

When we went there, they asked us if we had a reservation. Not to mention that we called and called and nobody answer the phone, the website said: you can reserve online... you're right! Nobody answers anyways, so then we go there and the waiter (Venezuelan I believe) was rude..."If you don't have a reservation you can't come here". I explained what happened, and he still refused to sit us; at the end we got seated, but the atmosphere even though it's nice and well decorated, is cold and not well heated at all, noise level is Crazy and with the DJ and music I felt like screaming just to have a normal conversation. The food is nothing to die for, the Minestrone soup was thick and heavy, The ceviche was OK, the only good thing I got was the Leche de Tigre, (or maybe because I was craving it) A positive thing: generous portions... You can go to El Bodegon, La Panchita or El Punto Azul and get MUCH BETTER food, better service and they are all located in the trendy district of Miraflores. I would never come back to this place.....
