Beccles (/ˈbɛkəlz/ BEK-əlz) is a market town and civil parish in the Waveney District of the English county of Suffolk. The town is shown on the milestone as 109 miles (175 km) from London via the A145 and A12 roads, 98 miles (158 km) northeast of London as the crow flies, 16 miles (26 km) southeast of Norwich, and 33 miles (53 km) north northeast of the county town of Ipswich. Nearby towns include Lowestoft to the east and Great Yarmouth to the northeast. The town lies on the River Waveney on the edge of The Broads National Park.

This is my 4th visit to urban jungle & each time I always enjoy the surroundings & the food, but every time the service is so bad,Each time Iâve thought that maybe they are just having a bad day but it seems this is just the norm ....There seems to be no management & organisation of the staff, each time Iâve been there have all been different which is very telling .The waitress we had today when I asked her after waiting 20 mins where our jug of water was & our extra flat bread to go with a starter was , her reply was it will be ready when itâs ready in a very annoyed tone .... the food was nice when it eventually arrived but then I had to question the bill as they had overcharged us ,The food I feel is incredibly over priced for what it is ....Iâve decided Iâve given them too many chances now & I wonât be returning & certainly wouldnât recommend to anyone .Such a Shame as this place has such potential.

A novel and quirky idea. Turning fine dining on its head. Random flavour pairings that you wouldn't think would work but do. The crab, carrot and cofffee was amazing, as was the pre dessert of blueberry not muffin. There's no waitstaff to speak of, the chefs deliver the food and explain the dish if it needs to be, and they're more than happy to have a chat afterwards. The head chef in particular looking for feed back about dishes, and the overall experience.The food is perfectly cooked and the sort of thing I would expect to find in a michelin star place.Will be taking some friends next time!
