Aviemore (/ˌæviˈmɔːr/ ( listen); Scottish Gaelic: An Aghaidh Mhòr "The big [mountain] face") is a town and tourist resort, situated within the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands of Scotland. It is in the Badenoch and Strathspey committee area, within the Highland council area. The town is popular for skiing and other winter sports, and for hill-walking in the Cairngorm Mountains. There are excellent views of the Cairngorms from various places within the town, especially from the railway station. The Aviemore stone circle is located within a residential neighbourhood of the town.

Visited this restaurant for the 1st time on 5th September to celebrate my cousin Peter's 60th Birthday. Food was fantastic ( The chips are a must fir any visit) and Steaks & Duck were just perfect!! Staff were excellent as was the service!! Sheena was hilarious and didn't know how funny she was!! Young couple/ chef and Baker were lovely!! Will definitely revisit.Hi Angela,Thanks for choosing the Rowan Tree for Peter's birthday celebration and thanks for the lovely review!
