We found this restaurant after walking out of the restaurant next to our hotel (Ibis). It is a truck stop restaurant. We were greeted politely and seated. The waiter then spent time with us explaining the menu to us. There are 2 set menus to choose from. It is a typical French restaurant, with a choice of 4 dishes for each course. Good value, nice food and great service! The rose Pinot Gris wine was delicious too!

We came here on a quiet Saturday night for an early dinner, 4 adults and 5 children. When we arrived the place was empty (they had only just opened for the night) and we had no problem getting seated. Menu consisted of 4 starters and 4 mains written on a blackboard. To start we had the soup (very thick) served in a small loaf and the pâté. Mains were steak, veal and salmon all serves with a purée of veg and greens, steak came with chips. The kids all had a burger with chips. All the food was very well cooked, fresh and tasty. We accompanied the food with a couple of carafes of the house red and finished off with creme brûlée and tarte aux pommes. Service was excellent and they went out of the way to keep everybody happy, it was all really very good. Price wise very reasonable, it cost â¬130, which isn't bad to feed 7 hungry people and ample drinks. Overall an excellent meal I left feeling very well fed. Should I find myself in Vierzon again - this was a stopover on the way north - I would definitely come here again.

A pit.stop on the return journey proved to be better than expected. Well.proportioned/fitted out chalets in quiet surroundings together with a perfectly acceptable dinner was far better than our predictions and we left feeling in good spirits for the trip home .....a good value stay

A busy pub style brasserie with a cosy atmosphere, but the staff were quite surly and 'matter of fact'. We ordered a salad each and then the special flamenkauch to share which was described as tandoori chicken. The salads were very good, fresh and tasty and good size portion. When the flamenkauch arrived, the chicken was pale and tasteless and looked nothing like the picture, so I questioned the waitress who just said, 'that is tandoori, I'll,ask him to do it again' and whisked it away. Given that tandoori was described as being marinated in spices, we wondered how he could re do this, but when it returned it tasted ok, although he had just sprinkled some spice onto it. The food was ok, and value for money, let down by the service and the misleading description of the special. We won't go back.

We stopped here with our CoPilot GPS which uses Yelp.... Not as good as HERE which uses TripAdvisor. The first two places were bad. One was a bar and not good food. The next was no longer there (if ever). Then we found this little place on the Rue de la petite vitesse. The locals were here: a table of 10 workers. Two ladies. The waitress sort of made fun of us, but good naturedly. When I asked her what the name of the blue cheese was, she said, "Bleue! Bleue!" Then I asked the ladies behind me. They told me "de l'auvergne". And it's delicious. The waitress said of the chèvre, "baaaaa" And Then of the blue, "moooo". But she was being funny, not nasty. We had a good lunch, not a great lunch, but it was â¬12.50 for three courses. Worth a stop on the highway.

"La Bûcherie" welcomes you to spend a peaceful and friendly moment in a rustic decoration. Its traditional homemade cooking products consist essentially of meats and fishes freshly roasted in the wood fire. Pancakes will seduce both young and old.
We were recommended by the hotel we were staying in. They booked us in to this small family run bistrot. The food was well cooked and delicious but simple not fine dining but delicious. The rest of the diners were French so the food must be good and reasonably priced. They were helpful. Parking 5 mins walk away.Merci de votre avis et à très bientôt dans notre établissement

Your restaurant L'intrigue welcomes you from Monday evening to Saturday evening and let you discover dishes made with fresh products and completely homemade!
Unusually, I went without the GlutenFree Glamorous Assistant. The foie-gras burger (the "local" specialities didn't seem very local to me) was good. The chips so-so. The only disappointment was the absence of a wine-list, or real beers. I had a glass of fizzy grape juice, too sweet.Reasonable value for about â¬25.

Two swallows dont make a summer, but this is the second time I have found an unexpectedly excellent restaurant just opposite a notable railway station. This one was recommended by the proprietor of my B&B as being "the only place to eat in Vierzon", and while I have not tried any of the others, certainly this one would be hard to beat. We had "saucisse briochee" (anglice, toad in the hole) as a starter: this came with a tasty salad and fortunately bore no resemblance to the English version. For main course I had a respectable piece of cod wrapped in a filo croute and served with roast endives and barley. Which all sounds a little implausible but was a treat for taste buds battered by a long day's journey. The wine was well chosen and reasonably priced; the service was impeccable. I'll be back.
