I like the concept of Subtil et The which is simple: For lunch they offer 4 menus to choose from, each offering 4/5 different things that makes a main course. No worries for those with food allergies, if needed things can be taken off one menu and replaced by something from another.The service is absolutely flawless, kind and efficient, and their desserts should definitely be tried!Only opened at lunch, but in summer they sometimes open their doors at dinner time as well.

Having driven for 12 hours all we wanted was some good french food and a glass of wine. Despite a huge thunderstorm we achieved our goal. The salad choice was wonderful with a lovely dressing and the home make cakes and fruit salad for dessert equally delicious. Sounds too simple - not if you want good quality product at a reasonable price. The service couldn't have been friendlier and left with very happy memories of this wonderful small restaurant.

This is the kind of restaurant I would recommend to my English speaking friends: French food prepared by folks who saw the world. Fresh, creative without being too sophisticated, in a great atmosphere. I recommend the terrace at the back where you can enjoy a quiet lunch with shade. Price is reasonable, especially when you go for the appetizer+entree+dessert special at 21 euros.

Although only a family of four, we have four different eating preferences, one who eats anything, one vegetarian, one who doesn't eat fish and one who doesn't eat meat. Was this a problem. Not at all. We had a wonderful meal, sitting in the courtyard and served by Andrea the most charming of waitresses. The wine ladder served with meal was perfectly matched to the food and it provided the ideal accompaniment. It's a wonderful restaurant that serves delightful fusion dishes. Go visit, enjoy and revel in an extraordinary eating experience.

Andre is one of the two restaurants at Maison Pic. It is located at the front of the hotel. We went there for lunch, the day after we had a gastronomic experience at Anne Sophie Picâs restaurant in the hotel. The restaurant walls are covered with photos of Pic family and the history of the hotel. They are very interesting to see. You need to be there before 12 in order to secure a table. The restaurant filled up within 10 minutes after it was open. We did not make a reservation, but I am sure you could. After an amazing meal the night before, we decided to order just couple dishes â Canard de Orange, Chicken, and a beautiful salad. The duck was delicious and perfectly cooked, but the chicken was a bit dry and we had to send it back for another. The second one was much better. In all, it was a very good meal and I would recommend it. Dear Travellibra, Thank you very much for your feedbacks. We are sorry to hear that the chicken was not to your taste at first. Fortunately, you did not hesitate to tell your waiter and asked him for another one when you encountered this problem during your meal. It was a great pleasure to visit Franck and Delphine Harnet at Le Don Camillio restaurant in Valance. Excellent service and great food. Since there was no menu in English Franck attended to us personally, translated and explained the dishes, and made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We tried the Sweetbread, which is an unusual dish that we were trying for the first time, and it was really nice. We had problems getting a taxi back to our hotel so Franck went out of his way to give us a ride back (thank you Franck! :) ). We were amazed by his generous hospitably and great service. We definitely recommend Le Don Camillio restaurant.

A lunchtime discovery while working in the area, this place was a sparkling surprise.Location : A sufficiently pleasant pedestrian street with a few seats outside, however parking is tricky in the area and there isnât much by way of a view.Decor : Unfortunately the decor does not live up the standards set by the service and the food. In a modern style which is unrelated to the traditional-inspiration cuisine, it is rather cold and tasteless. Service : The landlord was attentive and conscientious, as well as very warm and welcome. He was passionate about his restaurant and the cuisine and provided very detailed colourful explanations of the dishes, and the service was fast and efficient.Food : This is the selling point of this restaurant : the cuisine is inspired by french traditional cuisine with a modern experimental twist and relying on local fresh ingredients. The quality was great and the food was easily the best tasting I tried in the whole Valence area. My main dish was a perfectly prepared piece of lamb with local vegetables and mushrooms and it was sincerely delicious. The dessert also did not disappoint :)Price : It is not the cheapest place in town, but it a very fair price for the quality of cuisine they served, it is still very much a good deal (3 course meal + coffee for under 30 euros).Overall, you will have no regrets about eating here and it is not far from a 5/5. The food is fresh and delicious without any unnecessary add-ons. The different vegies were all prepared to perfection with an amazing natural taste and the duck has been roastet to the point. The octopuss in the appetizer was absolutely smooth. Service was very warm and welcoming. Its a small place with just a few tables in a small side street. Interiors may not be the fanciest but cozy.

Dining alone, I was so pleased to be treated so well. It was an absolutely fabulous evening. They were at least 38 persons who were professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire dining experience fantastic. The flavors were absolutely delicious, unusual, and perfect servings. The fish was fresh. What I was most impressed by is that although I did the large tasting menu, they were able to accommodate my likes and dislikes. The pricing was very reasonable, about US$110 for over 10 dishes, a fantastic cheese cart and three glasses of wine. Would definitely make this a stop and detour for any trip in the future. One of BEST one star Michelin I have ever dined!!

Everything was just perfect from reservation to departure. Our spacious suite with private lift, beautifully decked with flowers, freshly delivered champagne and immaculately clean set up our stay in best possible way. All the staff were friendly, courteous and extremely professional and knew who we were at all times. Dinner was quite frankly the best, it could not have been better, the wonderful combinations of flavours and sensations quite out of the normal culinary world. We had high expectations and they were beaten at every course. Quite simply a wonderful stay and dinner that was outstanding in every respect. Tony & Jane R.
