We had lunch in this lovely village and my friends, who had been here before, chose this restaurant. It did not disappoint, service was good and prompt, salads beautiful. Many different seatings to choose from.

A small, authentic and inviting hotel, Le Relais St Jacques de Compostelle offers you a magical experience in the heart of Collonges-la-Rouge, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Situated between the Dordogne, the Lot and the Corrèze (15km from
An excellent dinner for two, built around the ââ¬28 Menu Collongeois. After an aperitif, a starter of Saumon mariné à lâaneth et poivre de Séchouan, salade de fenouil à lâorange and then a main of Suprême de pintade fermière label rouge contisé au citron confit, jus réduit au tandoori. A Goat's Cheese to follow, and then the Flognarde aux pommes fondantes, caramel de cidre. A bottle of Cahors and ½ of Badoit to wash it down and l'addition amounted to less than â¬55 a head. A real bargain for cookery of this quality!

Aux Temps Gourmands serves simple dishes with local organic produce. The place is run by 2 ladies who do everything from welcoming their guests, taking the order, preparing the food, serving etc.....so they seemed overwhelmd at times. Anyway the food was quite good but quite pricey.

Our charming hotel is housed in a 17th-century building, in an authentic, picturesque village, near Collonges the red and Turenne, our restaurant serves refined, tasty cuisine, which makes the most of seasonal products. There is a lovely terrace and free
Hallelujah at last a restaurant in the region which serves something other than confit of duck! This was our first visit to this newly opened restaurant but it certainly won't be the last. The cooking is well constructed and inventive with delicate flavours, fish is handled expertly and cooked to perfection, sauces light and flavoursome. Desserts leave you wanting more, everything cooked to order and as fresh as a daisy. This young chef has a passion for cooking which shows through in everything he sends to the table. The dining room and terrace have well spaced tables, comfortable seating and pretty table settings. This restaurant deserves to be full at every sitting, get in whilst you can.We were given a tour of the bedrooms which have every modern convenience beautifully furnished, light and airy. The location is in a quiet village but close to many tourist destinations, they only have four bedrooms which I'm guessing just won't be enough!

Since 1961, we are the third generation proposing traditionnal "correzienne" food base on family recipes, served, in winter in front of the fireplace, also called "Cantou" and under the vine in summer. We are open 7/7 for lunch. We only open for dinner in
We enjoyed our dinner here very much. We were glad that we had made reservations, as it was full in spite of having several tables. Meals were comprised of very well-prepared dishes largely from traditional French cuisine. The portions were generous. The servers were very friendly and helpful in spite of being incredibly busy. The only downside is that while some smokers were thoughtful and went outside the terrace to smoke in the street, there were some chain smokers who remained at table and let the majority of other patrons share their carcinogens.

We had the daily menu ("menu du jour") and it was both delicious, and affordable. For 19â¬, duck tartare, rocamadour cream veal, and gourmand coffee were a treat. The waitress was agreeable. So I hope the restaurant continues to offer good quality meals like that.

I had the Vegetable Salad (which comes with an egg) and it was incredible. Very fresh: lettuce, asparagus, wax beans, snow peas, artichoke, cantaloupe, tomatoes, carrots, beet, radish, potatoes and cucumber. If there was dressing, it was very subtle. My husband ordered the same, but with rich and delicious foie gras. The rolls were wonderful too.

We stayed at La Maison des Chanoines some years ago and the memory of a great meal led us to take an extensive detour on our way south to repeat the experience. Happy to say that the same couple are in control and the food was better than ever. The foie gras with black and white truffles with the local sweet wine was amazing and the amuse Bouche and palate refresher were inventive with intense and wonderful flavours. We both had veal with sweet chestnuts as a main and the trio of walnut desserts (walnuts are the local specialty) was exceptional. This is just a two person operation, with the charming Chantal serving her husband's wonderful food in the tiny vault-ceiling dining room. The accommodation has lots of history and character, but the food here is the main event.

Restaurant régional honnête et sérieux. Très bon accueil, bon rapport qualité/ prix et très bonne cuisine régionale. A découvrir.
Several people who have lived in this area much longer than us recommended we try this place. Apparently, the lunchtime menu was good value for money. So, we took four visitors there, though for an early evening meal, rather than lunch. We wish we hadn't. The service was slow and lacking in any warmth. The meat we ordered was tough and chewy and the vegetables were pretty tasteless. Maybe the lunch is better.

Les Capucins is found off the main Turenne road. It has limited outside seating and several tables inside and I thinking booking would be essential in the summer to enjoy the outside ambience. We had pizzas which were excellent. There only seemed to be one person serving and taking orders, so it was a bit slow.We visited on a Saturday night and it seemed very busy and popular with all age groups and we would definitely visit again.
