Well this is a place that can adapt to suit its clients!Only at lunchtime though as it relies on the cablecar's timetable. In winter, it is a self-service with a good choice of hearty food, perfect for allowing you to go back skiing! In Summer, the dish of the day can be seen at the cablecar's ticket box, and you can reserve your meal and your cablecar ticket with a reduction.Good "Savoyard" dishes, nice quality, affordable prices.Worth a detour for a nibble!

Our meal here (crepes for main course and dessert) was delicious accompanied by very tasty organic cider. The food was very fresh and the service impeccable. The owner is friendly and will tell you all you need to know about his products. So lots of friends had told me that the best burgers and pizzas came from "Jerome's" as we Brits call the place. Being new to the village is limited myself to Duck on a previous visit. This time was "Burger Time!"I ordered the Simple with cheese with a couple of slices of bacon. The Double looked way too big. As it turned out, the simple is bordering on too much as well. But by crikey it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection. The potato wedges go hand in hand with the burger.Le Choumas is for the younger set including families and the pricing is spot on. Fills up st about 22:30 so the volume increases. The only thing that (I feel) lets it down is the draught beer. Not nice at all, that said, once I discovered that there's plenty of bottled Bud, the problem was immediately solved. All in all good experience and shall be heading here a whole lot more.

We sat outside at a table overlooking Lake Geneva-magnificent location.Great mixture of choices for food-the lake fish choices were the most extensive of any of the restaurants I tried on this trip -it includes omble chevalier(3 different dishes) as well as daurade, fera and perch. Salade gourmonde included most of my favourites-Crayfish, scallops, Foie gras, confit duck . Ris de Veau was well presented. Extensive wine list and very reasonable for decent wines.

In Summer there are outdoor tables in addition to the indoor arrangements. Filets of perch from the lake are always good: Potence is a dish unique to this restaurant and must be tried; Berthollon (a savoyard Bertoud in Thollon!) is also a great dish. New management-the chef and his parents have taken over and the standards are maintained. More Burgundy on the wine list this year

Visited at last minute as other restaurants in village were busy. Made feel very welcome and warned we may have to wait. Kids were made welcome and despite an acceptable wait were served an excellent meal. Kids pasta dishes were a hit but steaks with bercy sauce were top quality and complimented by potatoes dauphinoise. Even a walk up the pic du les memises would probably not offset the profiteroles, but your not here for thoroughly recommend for a quality experience.

Although this restaurant is perhaps best known to skiers it is well worth a summer visit when service is in the delightful garden. The menu combines traditional Savoie specialities with French bistro dishes. The wines are mainly from the region. The service is friendly and efficient.

The special menu for 12 Euros included a main course crepe with cheese and meat, a dessert crepe and coffee. All excellent. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and service Superior. A cheap eat that did not feel cheap. The only downsides are a bit hard to find without a GPS and the limited hours, but worth the effort.

We wanted to experience genuine Savoyard food, which we love; on the outside the restaurant seemed to offer just that: rustic, cosy, having all the details of old times Haute Savoie occupations: hunting and shepherding. You have to book a table in advance, which we did. We arrived on time and were ushered into an empty room and given menues. We had barely sat down and the hostess came and asked us if we made our picks. We told her we need more time; she sniffed and went away. Some minutes later she came back and told us to hurry up since there are other guests coming. We told her we don't like to be rushed when dining out; she snapped at us that in that case we have to wait one hour since there are other people coming and she cannot attend to several tables at the same time. At the end we were forced to choose some shepherd stew. The only edible thing from it were the potatoes and the green sallad. It was obvious the restaurant uses local fresh produce. But the service is horrible, the attitude of the personal is snappy and generally the atmosphere is nether relaxed, nor congenial. I would not go back there. Take your chances if you like; perhaps the hostess will be in a better mood for you.Dear guest - I've read your comment with great attention .... you had effectively requested a table for 7.OO PM ( start of the service .... ) but not placed your order before 7.45 PM ... my wife did not sniffed your party but as usual tried to be efficient as she does with all our customers ... all the other tables were booked too .... I am disappointed you did not like our stew based on Savoyard sausages produced by local craftsmen ... You were not forced to choose that particular dish as you clearly explained you did not like cheese dishes ..... the same cheese specialities you seem to have enjoyed in one of our colleagues restaurant nearby some other day ....? ...My wife and I regret you felt l'Outa as a negative experience .

Such a lovely place. Nice and cosy with a good atmosphere . Really friendly staff and amazing food, all of us had different starters and mains and were jealous of each other's food as all really tasty. Will go back every time.
