Whitegrass, under the helm of Head Chef Takuya Yamashita, showcases classical French fare with a contemporary Japanese twist. Abiding by the culinary principle of âLa Cuisine Naturelleâ, or âcuisine of the natural bodyâ, Chef Takuya celebrates the essence
It was a quiet night at Whitegrass when we had dinner. Presumably due to fact that it had closed late 2018 and only recently reopened with a new Japanese chef with a strong background cooking French food. The combination and experience was most delicious and enjoyable. Table service was very pleasant with a young lady who explained what was being served. Reservations are held with a credit card booking to the value of $150 per diner as the restaurant may have experienced last minute cancellations in the past. Still I find this rather steep and the restaurant should work towards a more congenial policy that recognises the importance of a diner and the high quality output of the chef. Congratulations to the chef and his team for providing us with an outstanding dinner. Dear Ms SunMoonShine,Iâm delighted you had a great experience at Whitegrass. Weâre passionate about showcasing the classical French fare with a modern Japanese twist that we served. We endeavour to go above and beyond for our customers, so for you to say you had a pleasant table service is a source of great pride! I have told Cheryl about your kind comments and theyâd love to thank you in person the next time youâre in! We're extremely sorry that you had to face such difficulties with the reservation deposit. As we have experienced a high volume of last min cancellations a no-show, we have the 24 hours cancellations policy in place in order to control the increase in food cost.We may not be able to change the past but if you give us a chance, we will completely make it up to you.Weâre really grateful for your feedback and look forward to serving you again!

Solo diner, vegetarian in a French restaurant, recipe for disaster right? No. Unbelievable evening. My menu was rich, varied and delicious. I didnât feel ripped off in the slightest. Iâd go again in a heartbeat. My waiter Zachary was so brilliant, he kept me company but wasnât bothersome and gave me a list of other restaurants and bars to visit. I loved sitting and watching the kitchen and I LOVED that Julien Royer served my petit fours.

In 1994, Les Amis opened its doors and became Singaporeâs first independent fine-dining restaurant. Today, the award-winning Les Amis restaurant presents their guests with an exquisite French fine-dining experience in an elegantly modern setting. The rest
My average number of visits per year to Singapore is about 4-5 times over the last 30 years. During this period and especially the last 20 years of so Singapore has seen many great chefs and restaurants opened... and closed. One restaurant who has always been there and able to keep the very high standard hence their sustainability and supremacy is Les Amis. I still remembering early years I used to buy a lot of wines when I visited Singapore and brought them back to HK (tax issue which no longer exists) and this wine shop above Les Amis (I think same owner at least during those days) at Shaw Centre is always my key visit. Sometimes I even brought a bottle or two and drank them at the restaurant! Over the years I try to come back to LA (Les Amis) at least once a year or two and they always keep their standard very high as well as innovating new dishes. Their ingredients are always very fresh (imported or sent directly from France even the blue lobster). Their wine list of course has both the depth and width! Above all their service and the knowledge/story behind each dish that they (all staff can not just the manager or one or two seniors) can explain and communicate to you. I truly think LA is one of the best French restaurants globally and I hope to keep visiting them in the years to come!Dear drwilliamlo,Greetings from Les Amis!We were delighted to read your lovely review and are so pleased you again enjoyed your dining experience with us.Appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experience with other diners and we look forward to welcoming you back again soon.Kind regards.Team Les Amis.

A small fine French restaurant set up by Paul Longworth, Jerome Desfonds & Au Petit Salut. Contempory approach to French cuisine with very personalised service. A well worked out and affordable wine list to completment the dining experience.
Rhubarb never disappoints. Chef Paul delivers sophisticated, delicious food and Jerome has curated a fabulous wine list - very reasonably priced on both counts. The restaurant is intimate and equally well suited to a business lunch/dinner and special occasions with someone special. The halibut with beetroot, passionfruit and olive oil caviar (3rd photo) is one of the best dishes Iâve had anywhere this year.

Open 365 days a year, with a menu offered all day long from opening to closing, we are a very cool Family (our team is our family indeed) and cosy cafe / bistro / bar that serves breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner and late dinner. We took over the very firs
When you call your cafe awesome, youâre setting the bar pretty high. At first glance the surroundings donât disappoint, thereâs enough âawesomeâ decorations and curated memorabilia to make you feel like youâre in a hipster-themed Instagram photoshoot. The service is good with the staff attentive, although it was a little crowded at lunch so they were understandably a little busy and sometimes preoccupied with other tables. The âawesome saladâ was not as awesome as I expected however, as it felt like a little bit of everything had be thrown together rather than finding the most awesome combination of ingredients. As the chicken breast, salmon and prosciutto ham, although large in portion were a little too contrasting in flavours to go with the half avocado the salad was topped with. Anyway the lunch was enjoyable overall and thereâs enough trinkets and decorations around you to keep you occupied throughout.

Just had dinner in the restaurant. Lovely meal with delicate flavours and not overpowering. I had red snapper ceviche and my partner had grilled haloumi both of which were very good. Followed by chicken with crispy potatoes and mushroom jus. Apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice cream made for a delicious end.Good ambience in the restaurant with friendly and efficient service from Jesna and her fellow servers.Would definitely go back and recommend.Dear Dean , I am so glad that you did enjoy your meal , I will share your review with the entire team , Thank you , Stephane Istel Chef / Owner

Taking inspiration from Executive Chef Vianney Massot's rich culinary experiences, the restaurant is an expression of the chef's creativity and know-how, presented as though dining within the comforts of Vianneys own abode. Upon entering the elegant 20-se
I rarely write reviews but some experiences are so amazing that to not leave a review would be an absolute travesty! Dining at Vianney Massot restaurant is one of those experiences.Service:Everything was perfect from the start to the end. The hostess and team greeted us warmly upon entering, everyone was very professional during the actual service of our meal and responded promptly to any requests that we made. Everyone was always smiling and had such a great attitude.Ambience:We were seated at a table further inside the restaurant. The space itself was an elegant dining room with a black and gold theme running through. The tables were spaced out enough for diners to have some privacy without being completely shut away from everything.Food:Now for the food, which really was equal parts cuisine as it was art. Special mention to the bread trolley. That was a sight to behold. It was a triple tiered selection of fresh and warm breads. This was served with an unsalted butter curl prepared on the spot with some Fleur de sel on the side. This is so that diners can have the option of both salted and unsalted butter. I thought this was a very thoughtful gesture. After which we had a delightful little champagne starter. It was this small but beautiful creation and was simply an explosion of flavours in the mouth. You could taste every element. Exquisite! The amuse-bouche had a foie gras base, corn puree dots, edible gold, and white truffle on the top. Iâm not a big fan of foie gras, but this dish was so perfectly balanced, no one ingredient was too overpowering and everything worked so well together! The appetiser with blue lobster was super refreshing and looked like a garden on a plate. You had all kinds of texture in there which blended perfectly together. The plate itself was also very special. Our first main was this absolutely divine pasta with uni, caviar and an egg. The colours, the taste, everything was impeccable. We also had some baby lamb chops which were so tender each one came right off the bone with minimal effort! Of course they were also delicious to a fault! For dessert, I had this absolutely adorable meringue, lemon and honey creation. It was honestly too pretty to eat. Words do not do it justice. It was super refreshing and not too sweet, which I prefer. Not a single crumb was left on the gorgeous plate. We were also served some marvelous chocolate truffles and lemon madeleines with coffee at the end. In conclusion, did each plate look like a work of art? Yes! Did every dish taste as good as it looked? A resounding yes!!! I had high expectations going in and Vianney Massot restaurant had not just met them, but surpassed those expectations by leaps and bounds!! Really really pleased and will definitely be back. Very excited to see how this talented young chef will continue to elevate the Singapore fine dining scene in the future!

My wife and I sat through the 8 course culinary adventure with Chef Stephen.Chef Stephen from Austria is a very friendly chef, he came by our table a few times both to introduce the dishes and ingredients as well as to check on the food quality. The high tables and chairs were not comfortable but that was more than compensated by the high quality of food. From the first course, it was evident Chef Syephen doesnt like any one flavour to overwhelm our taste buds. For eg, foie gras usually leaves a big overwhelming aftertaste but his dish coupled woth citrusy flavours so we didnt felt overwhelmed. The halibut fish was slow cooked to perfection but topped with crunchy bits. The iberico pork cheek was soft amd so....ooo good. Even the strawberry sorbet ice cream (normally would make adults cringe at the sourness) was nicely encased in a white choc magnum case. So ot was very very well balanced. We are true food conneiseurs and hv been blessed to hv always eaten at some of tge best places in the world. Here for $150, we get a very enjoyable dinner that was more than his one michellin star. Chef Stephen's delicate balancing act is almost Japanese-like.Highly recommend. The other chefs and staff were also responsive and professional. Very good place for a special dinner.Dear vincentlau, We would like to thank you for dining with us at Chef's Table by Chef Stephan. It was us a pleasure to host you. Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review about your experience. We look forward to welcoming you and your valuable guests back to Chef's Table by Chef Stephan in the near future again. The Chefâs Table Team

ENTRE-NOUS creperie is a family run restaurant specialized in savoury and sweet crepes from Brittany (north-west part of France). Opened in october 2008 by a French couple. Their aim was to deliver crepes as traditional as you can find in Brittany. The cr
Oh The place brought back a memory when we were in the South of France. The crepes were delicious, the ingredients although rich in flavour blend beautifully with the buckwheat crepes - that I felt I can keep on eating :D without feeling overloaded. We had both the mains and dessert crepes. All good and well balance. I can go one and one describing each dish but its really something you have to try for yourself. I tried the Apple Cider with blackcurrant liquor and it was Mmmmmmmm. The atmosphere was relaxing and the pricing easy on the wallet. The only negative thing I have to say is that seated indoors instead of Alfresco, I went home with food-fume on my clothes and hair.Dear Ranae, thank you so much for the time you've taken to write this lovely comment! It was really nice having you and your friends last night and we are very happy to know you appreciated our Brittany crepes and cider.I am truly sorry for the food smell on your clothes. We hope to welcome you again soon to entre nous creperie!Have a great weekend!Geraldine

Ma Cuisine is a gastro wine bar by co-owners Anthony Charmetant and Mathieu Escoffier. With a shared passion, dynamism and love for wine, it was only natural that Anthony and Mathieu would collaborate to build a space that embodies their bold convictions
Had the chance to visit again Ma Cuisine in Singapore with my local clients. The experience was unforgettable, Chef Mathieu offered us to try his upcoming new delights to be added to the menu very soon... and we were definitely not disappointed! Such a spontaneous and talented chef - bone marrow & caviar, followed by a new cocotte âthe braised lamb shank ». Of course never miss a good wine pairing, the saint estephe was just unbelievable! Thanks again!
