This lovely restaurant on the beach front was a great find. Good selection of choices on the menu, excellent value for money and fabulous flavours-the desserts are to die for - highly recommend.Thank you for your visit! And we thank you for sharing your opinion!

Without a doubt the food was expertly prepared - superb fish dishes. We enjoyed wonderful oysters followed by tasty choices from the specials board. In itself that would have warranted more stars but, from a subjective perspective, the invasive nature of the staff was an interruption to our enjoyment. There is a big difference between being âup oneselfâ and knowing that your food is good.

I followed up on a trip advisor recommendation for the best oyster restaurant in Cancale for our friends and they weren't disappointed. Only one of the friends had the oysters and he was pleased as punch. The other seafood range was restricted due to this place being special for oysters. Anyhow the others had a nice arrangement of various seafood. The staff were lovely and the price was fairly good considering we had drinks as well.

Dined there after reading good reviews, unfortunately our experience wasn't so. The overall experience was average, let down by poor service and long delays between delivery of courses.I'll start with the bad - Had an 830 reservation, took two attempts at a drinks order and over a 30min wait before we finally got our drinks. Food order was not taken until a good 45 minutes after seating, first course of fancy cheese and crackers on a spoon arrived after over hour and 15min into our initial seating and the delays between courses continued. Don't get me wrong I am all for slow dining, but this was disappointingly slow and not something I expect from Michelin dining. Finally to top it off, head waiter needs to take a course in customer relations, he was in fine form in delivering a stunning performance of living up to past reputations of arrogance. The good - food was to standard, but somehow lacked the wow factor. I had the lobster course and other had degustation mix. I expected more from this establishment, unfortunately I left feeling rather short changed on many fronts.Dear Sir,as you can remember it was a very busy night, and we were aware that you were waiting but sadly on that particular night nothing could be done. We wish you the best season's greetings,Chantal Duval.

This restaurant is located at the bed and breakfast establishment of Le Chateau Richeux
This is fine dining, and a good example of it.We went for the full tasting menu with wine pairing. It was a 3 hour tasting extravaganza. All the food was very good, and the wine pairings were excellent.I wasn't convinced by pairing red wine with lobster even if you do say there is chocolate and chili with it. You know you had a good meal when that's your biggest question. It's a premium price, so you expect a lot, overall I think it delivered.

We had an opportunity to try several recommended seafood restaurants in St. Malo and determined this was the very best! The seafood was fresh, fresh, fresh. Ambiance and service were excellent. Staff were able to answer detailed questions about their offerings in English, which we appreciated, since our French is limited. My sister-in-law had mussels at each meal while in Brittany, and declared these the best. I had an outstanding tuna entree on risotto that I wish I could replicate here at home. My husband, who is not as avid a seafood fan, had a huge salad with perfectly prepared beef. The wine list was extensive and the ones we selected were perfect with our dinner. We had been told desserts were excellent too, and although the entrees were filling, we opted to share desserts. All inventive and delicious! I'm glad we had made reservations, as the restaurant was almost filled when we arrived, and full when we left. Highly, highly recommended! You will have a memorable meal!

Due to the reviews we expected a lot from this place. In retrospect we realize: some things were good, many things were not. Both appetizers were disappointing, the ravioli watery, the beetroots close to tasteless. Of two times calf one was massively tough. The pre-ordered dessert was sold out at the end. Conclusion: disappointing.Dear Francis, First of all thank you for your review. Your remarks imply an answer from us.The ravioli (which are 3) are not "watery". They came on plate with a celery water wich is a full part of the receipe. It's a shame that you didn't undersand that as it is written on the menu. The beetroot may not been your taste but how could be a beetroot tasteless ! It's marinated into red wine sauce and comes on plate with sour cream spum, smoked duckling breast, wild peppers mix and fines herbs ! Maybe the beetroot wasn't what you expected as you asked our waitress many times "what is a beetroot ?" ! I'm also really suprised about one the calf beeing "tough" as both of your pieces comes from the same animal. Nevertheless you didnt asked us for another one we would had been pleased to prepare again especially for you. Finally, again, we aplogogize that the chocolate dessert you pre-order wasnt avaiblable but I personnaly decided to don't serve it as it didn't meet the quality level that I impose on kitchens.
