If you go by "Val Thorens" It is with great pleasure that we welcome you "Au Mazot" to go around a convivial local recipes, in a warm atmosphere and Savoyard From the first flakes, the restaurant is open all night. Then! ... Move to table!
A gorgeous little homely restaurant.Delicious french home cooking, quality ingredients with excellent flavours.Cute little garlic bruschetta as a complimentary mini starter too, and obviously meals are accompanied with delicious home made crusty french bread.Have to mention the lady who owns/runs the restaurant - one of the loveliest people you could meet she really makes a difference to the whole meal, service with a big smile, so helpful and friendly.Absolutely fabulous definitely the best meal we had in val thorens and deserves to be number 1!Book a few days in advance as itâs so popular! They do two sittings per evening,7pm and I think 9pm.Also I noted some reviews say they donât answer their phone - itâs a busy place but we left a message in not very good french and they did call back to confirm details.

Good value as mountain restaurants go. It gets busy at lunchtime and service can sometimes be a little slow but the food is excellent and a little cheaper than other mountain restaurants we tried (we paid Euro 65 for one course and drink for four people whereas elsewhere we generally paid around Euro 85)

My wife and I recently visited the French Ski Resort area of Meribel. On a Saturday about 12:30 PM we sought a local restaurant for lunch and came upon the Martagon (the name signifies a local Alpine flower) as it's on the main road from Meribel down to Moutiers in the valley. As it was open and looked inviting we decided to eat there and we were not disappointed. An authentic Alpine mountain lodge, the Martagon has 2 dining areas plus a bar and a large parking area. No doubt there is an outdoor space as well but the temperature was only in the 50s Fahrenheit that day so all tables were inside. As it was not yet full (most French dine at 1 PM) we had a lovely table with a view over the valley. The waitress spoke enough English to help us choose and of course we speak French also. My wife had a delicious warm-goat-cheese salad that was also very big. I opted for the lamb shank which turned out to be one of the best I have ever eaten. The cook was out of fried potatoes (surprise!) but had "frites" French fries and they were also excellent. He gave me so much delicious lamb gravy that I didn't even need ketchup or any other sauce for them. Served with a small side salad. I had an excellent Cotes du Rhone red wine by the glass at a reasonable price and we shared a bottle of Badoit sparkling mineral water. The meal was so good we shared a dessert, something we rarely do for lunch; a "chocolat fondant" (chocolate muffin with melted chocolate center) that was fantastic. The expresso coffe was also tasty and we left quite satisfied. I'd give this restaurant an "excellent" score except for the fact that it was somewhat "pricey" for the food offered but if that does not matter then you will have an excellent meal in a lovely mountain setting at this Alpine Flower restaurant.

The full brunch menu is so good and extensive that guests can skip breakfast and dinner that day! There were at least 10 plates (not counting the amuse) of delicious food in the Savoyard style, all of them exquisite. The waiters knew their stuff and helped us making our selection (no snails. frogs etc) up front. Wine-pairing was well done. Count on at least 3-4 hours for brunch. If you're staying in a nearby hotel, take a taxi because parking is very limited (and you might not be in a position to drive back even if you a parking spot).

Located between Les Menuires and Val Thorens, in the largest ski area in the world, the 3 Valleys, our alpine restaurant Chalet Chez Pepe Nicolas is open throughout the winter season afternoon and evening (tueday to Saturday). True alpine chalet, our rest
We had a late lunch here recently and were lucky enough to sit outside on the terrace in the Sun. Stunning views and cosy blankets were provided too. We chose croziflette and duck salads to share - both delicious together with a couple of bottles of local white wine. Service excellent from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Restaurant de cuisine traditionnelle maison, et spécialité savoyarde. Terrasse plein soleil avec accès direct aux pistes. Ouvert uniquement de Décembre à Avril
Had a meal at this place when we could not access our usual favourite. The food was OK nothing special, the staff do very well in quite a small kitchen.

Hotel, Restaurant L'Ours Blanc, (Directly under the Doron chairlift, past the green section for children, on your far left as you ski down towards Les Menuires centre), Makes your lunch break worthwhile, on its panoramic terrace or in the bar/restaurant,
Every season we visit this restaurant and always experience wonderful food, lovely friendly service and exceptional value. 5 star service at normal mountain prices. This trip once again we chose the lamb chops. A large tasty meal that comes with home made chips..salad and delicious fresh mushrooms. It is not easy to find this one but well worth the effort. One of the best restaurants in the 3 Valleys and a real hidden gem. Ski to it under the Doron chair but always reserve first as it now gets very busy with regulars coming back each season. (like us!)Dear Guest,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent lunch with us. Iâm delighted to hear about the positive experience you had while you were with us and we hope that youâll return soon.Warm regards,Apolline

I cannot believe we almost didn't come here because of some of the bad reviews. Do NOT miss this place. They are absolutely charming and the tables are NOT too close together (why do people say stuff like that?). I've never had cheese this good in my life. If the place names itself "La Fromagerie" you just have to believe that the cheese is incredible. And it is. We had the basic fondue, which was out of this world, the smell alone - white wine and cheese - will make you crazy. The meats and bread were good, the deserts were heavenly. We also had hot chocolate and wine and a tartiflette, which were all amazing. They hang your coat, they call the car for you; the service is full-on French. The room is cozy and elegant at the same time. For the price, for Courchevel 1850, it is a good value while still being classy and serving excellent food. The kids that worked there were great. We loved it so much we went back a second time. They were delighted that we had returned.

Family kitchen, local specialities, rustic and cosy chalet style with terrace. Lots of Belgium beers. Booking is recommended.
There are 3 restaurants at that level of Saint François Longchamp and le Plancher des Vaches is certainly the best out of the 3. Nice family run creperie that also serve traditional savoyard food. It's recommended to book in advance as it's very often full.
