Great service, lots of attention from staff and excellent food, large choice in menu. Had finally an all sea food meal . Everything was perfect at a very reasonable price, one of the advantages of going out of big cities. Unbeatable. If you are around here do try it . Thank you

We were meeting friends for lunch here as a halfway point. Can recommend the promenade des remparts & a visit to the Egise Notre Dame (beautiful stained glass in a simple gothic building whilst there. We ate the lunchtime menu which changes daily. For 14.50 euros we enjoyed a starter of carpaccio of beef followed by pesto chicken with a curried carrot puree. The food was plentiful & you could have had cheese or dessert for an extra 4 euros. Good wine list by the glass or bottle. Service was efficient & friendly & it is well located below the ramparts close to the Tourist Information office.

Whilst sightseeing Saint-Lo we searched hard for an authentic French restaurant for lunch. France, like the rest of the world is gradually falling victim to pizza parlours and kebab takeaways. We found Le Toucan on a corner next to the pedestrian precinct. It claimed to be a combination of genuine creperie and Irish bar. We were not put off by the juxtaposition of the two concepts and entered the premises. The restaurant is small and simply furnished, the kitchen is actually in the bar. There was one chef and one lady serving, we assumed that they were the owners. Different drinks, including various Irish whiskies were displayed round the bar area. The menu had a good selection of galettes and crepes. We had delicious savoury galettes. These were well prepared and displayed on the plate, a pleasure to eat. We were first in when the restaurant opened and found the service to be fast and friendly. We did notice though that when the restaurant filled up, one or two tables were left waiting for a long time for service. perhaps Le Toucan could benefit from a part time waitress. We thoroughly recommend this establishment for a light lunch.

We went very excited off the strength of the trip advisor reviews but we were disjunction disappointed. The starter salads were passable but our mains were bland and overpriced. I went to great pains to request a medium rare steak but received a tough, tasteless nasty piece of boot instead. The wine was not great either and we've had much better service in this region. I would not go back.

A great place for an informal meal. And excellent cocktails.Friendly staff and busy with locals, even on a rainy Sunday night.Coconut ice cream with pineapple preserve particularly good.

After a long journey from the south of France I asked the manager where we were staying for a recommendation. He recommended O Commerce. We went full of expectation of a nice meal and a treat after our long journey. The place was packed with French people which I took to be a good sign. The food must go down as one of the worst meals I have ever had in France. And that's saying something. I won't bore you with the details except to say that the chips that accompanied our grizzly leather that was meant to pass as steak were the shape of mc donnells Chips except nearly burnt, soggy and greasy. There were no accompanying vegetables with the steak or the salmon. When we were finished our poor starters, the waitress came to remove the plates and put the used cutlery back on the table for the next course. If this had been back in Ireland we would have given it back and refused to pay. It wouldn't have been served in the first place. Anyway what amazes me is that the French people seem to think that this type of thing is great. I've seen it all over France. French people mopping up rubbish food and thinking its great. I lived in England for many years and it wouldn't be tolerated there either. The places would have closed down long ago. Enough of my rant, glad I got it off my chest though. Don't eat here.

Visited with a group of friends for a get-together lunch. To make life easier for everyone, we had previously chosen our three courses from a limited selection, and everyone said they enjoyed what they had - me included. Not exactly cordon bleu, but very tasty and nicely presented. Would certainly go again.

Ate here last week and enjoyed a great meal of savoury and sweet freshly cooked crepes with some excellent local cider. Good service.

We knew the Chef of the Intuition already from his previous restaurant in Coutances, and knew before coming that we would not be disappointed. But we found an even better and more creative composition of the meal than before. Specifically, combination of ingredients like hazelnuts to accompany a mullet fish, rhubarb to come with the veal or the cheese course with entirely grated Tomme surprised and proofed to be excellent combinations. We will definitely return to taste more of Intuition!
