We stopped here for coffee late one morning and nabbed one of the tables on the terrace. It is positioned so that it blends into the environment - with a wee kids playground, easy parking and people passing by - making it a great community meeting place. After seeing the food coming out to other diners we decided to stay for food - We were not disappointed! It is simple local cuisine - but of high quality. I had the tartine (which was too big to finish), and my partner had the carbonara - served with an egg yolk on the side - it was delicious. The best bit was the price - incredibly good value. The staff were friendly and attentive also.
Visited as just about the only place open at 5.30 in the evening - and so glad we did - really quirky bar - cocktail area - restaurant area and garden - lovely staff - who coped with our lack of french !!! And my pork was wonderful

We felt that we needed to visit this restaurant as many friends had said to us how nice it was, so visit we did :) We reserved for a Friday evening, a table of four. The owner gentleman was so pleasant and polite over the phone, he even gave me detailed directions of the easiest route from our village. We had wonderful pizzas with salad followed by very yummy desserts, all of generous proportions. We saw the old bread oven in use to cook the pizzas, such a lovely thing to see. The owner and his wife were delightful and we had a good natter :) Will definitely return and we recommend.

The team of the Boeuf Rouge welcomes you in their restaurant at the heart of Limousin. The head chef proposes a traditional and regional cooking if you like the meat, you will take advantage of our Beef Blason Prestige "Label Rouge".
Place looked fabulous and was very busy. We managed to get a table inside but were then ignored for over 30 minutes whilst all around us were served. Eventually gave up and left. The food we saw looked good but I would not recommend eating here at busy times.

We walked out twice on different days due to lack of people available to seat you. Don't think I'll try a third time...

Absolutely fantastic value. 17.50⬠for the 3 course lunch, or 12.50⬠for 2 courses. Always choice of at least 2 entrees, 2 mains and 2+ desserts. Extremely well presented and helpings are a nice size. Sitting on the terrace overlooking the trees on a lovely sunny day day make this place a really good choice to sample French food and friendly service at its best. Wine is by the glass or bottle, so no carafes of house wine. A must visit again restaurant, these is our fifth visit over the past two years and never disappointed.

This restaurant is very convenient to town and very pretty, especially if you can eat on the patio. Best of all, the food is delicious! I had an assortment meal that included gazpacho, green beans, artichoke, prosciutto, melon, quail, and maybe one or two other things. I also had the Cafe Gourmand for dessert which include three different small servings of desserts. Everything I had was wonderful!

We have not eaten a burger for a decade but 2 within 48 hours was worth the wait. We do not eat 'buns' so we ordered big salads instead along side frites which were just delicious, a carafe of red wine and finished with a fabulous panna cotta. Both evenings were dreadful for weather so we abandoned the Michelin restaurant the 2nd night to come here where it was warm with simple good food.

This was a wonderful evening. The restaurant is outside of the town a bit in a peaceful setting. We ate outside and loved the view. The food was delicious and expertly presented. I recommend the duck, although my coworkers also raved about the steak and the chicken. Foie gras appetizer was very tasty, if you like foie gras.

What a delight! We were so pleased with this new discovery for us at St Junien, a new restaurant for us to frequent. We did a recommendation on Facebook and friends of ours later visited and loved it too! The staff are very nice and friendly, the tables beautifully presented, the food delicious. Will return
