We found this darling little place when we stayed at a hotel around the corner. We stopped by 3 nights in a row, and it would have been 4 or if we had discovered them our first night. We enjoyed ending our night there with a glass of wine, and snack. We were happy to discover they had kareoke on the Saturday night we were there. The owners were very friendly, and the service was great. We would definitely stop by the next time we visit Paris.

On the main square you'll see this unassuming place which is great for coffee or a pastis. At lunch they serve simple traditional dishes with no fanfare, and it's exactly the French food that I love best: duck confit with potatoes, steak-frites, and whatever they have for plat du jour. Also the way it's decorated hasn't changed for the last 40 years or so, and I hope they never renovate, it's perfect. Friendly service too.

This restaurant has a simple menu, well cooked and well served. They have a 22⬠set menu with Quercy salad as the starter (greens with foie gras, smoked magret and confit gésiers with an excellent walnut vinaigrette), sautéed duck magret with fries (simple, but perfectly done), and dessert of walnut tart. For wine lovers: we loved the Terra Santa rosé from Corsica (based on varietals Sciaccarellu and Niellucciu). This restaurant is open on Sundays, when most restaurants in town are closed. Service was friendly and well-informed.

Tables outside in a quiet street behind the main square. Menu has a nice selection of salads for a main course evening meal. Our salads comprised fresh green leaves, large succulent tomatoes , egg, radish with lovely flavour and topped with a generous portion of hot strips of tasty pork and beef. Friendly service and lovely surroundings

Excellent food. We ate there 2 times. Philipe recommended a wonderfully tender lamb dish covered in a tasty sauce. Then we requested the duck cassoulet for our next meal. Need to give the chef at least 2 days to prepare. So yummy. Atmosphere is friendly and relaxed.

We were six, we wanted a relatively light lunch and we were on the relatively late side. Nevertheless we were able to get a table outside, shaded by parasols in the delightful St. Céré square where "L'Instant T" is situated. We were able to place our orders quickly and assumed that the drinks would arrive while we waited for our food. Nothing came so I went inside and found our waitress who admitted that she had forgotten us!The food, when it came, was a bit of a "curate's egg". My son and I had steak tartare and chips and both of us thought our meal really good. Sadly, the same could not be said for the other four members of our party. The bruschettas and salads were just not good enough. I know it was approaching the end of the lunchtime rush, but that was no excuse for serving up limp lettuce and trying to disguise the fact by dousing it with an unpleasant dressing. The service was average and the bill was reasonable, so we might go back, but not if my wife has anything to do with it!

My wife and I lunched in this restaurant yesterday (30/12/2016) without reservations. We were welcomed and seated efficiently (service throughout was very good). While reading the menu we received a pleasant little "amuse bouche".My wife ordered the "Assiette du Boucher" (Butchers dish). This was a generous helping of steak, chips, nicely dressed salad, and a Rocamadour cheese. The steak was cooked as requested (and there was enough to take a little home for the dog).I ordered the "riz d'agneau" (lamb sweetbread) salad. This was a very generous helping of salad and sweetbread. Sadly, the sweetbread was not to the same standard as the rest of the meal - a bit too dry rather than moist and succulent. We both finished with very nice "cafe gourmand" - coffee with 4 little deserts. The creme brulee was very good.My wife drank a very nice red Bergerac, I drank Leffe beer (which, at 4.50 euros for 250ml, I thought very overpriced).

To celebrate our fifth anniversary of living in France my wife and I decided to try out this place for lunch. We live about 20 minutes from St Cere but had not heard of Le Bistrot de Bacchus from anyone before. Even when you are in the town's delightful medieval square it's hard to spot this restaurant in the corner. But it seems they don't need to advertise: the place was almost full for lunch on a Thursday in early March! This, of course, was a good sign and so it proved. The person serving us was warm and helpful; only at the end did we discover that it was her first day. We arrived a little late (best to book ahead) by which time the plat du jour was no longer available. No matter; what we had - pluma iberique, followed by une tarte citron and une dame blanche - were delicious. The staff are all young, enthusiastic yet professional, very like the team in one of our favourite restaurants - Le Petit Moulin in Martel.57⬠for two, including â¬11 for 50 cl of wine: well worth it. We shall definitely return and have already recommended it to friends and neighbours.Hi Molepolole, We thank you for this lovely review of our restaurant ! Kind regards

We had an excellent meal at this restaurant. For a Michelin restaurant, it was more casual and understated but the food and service was excellent. The serving plates were less complicated visually but the taste was excellent. The pigeon (squab) dish was one of the best pigeon dishes I have ever had. The chef used quite a few Asian ingredients including lemon grass, miso, soya and sesame seed oil in his cooking. Only one of the servers spoke english but the service was smooth and elegant as if they were omni-present. Both the chef and the chef's wife/owner came and spoke to us to ensure we were enjoying the meal. Overall a great experience and a good value for a Michelin starred restaurant.
