Was recommended by friends and decided to try it for a quick lunch. We went for the menu for 16.50 including main dish and dessert. I chose the fish of the day who was very tasty but the rice with it was over cooked. The veg were fresh and tasty too. We had for dessert the charlotte au chocolat which was a big mistake: not nice presentation, to heavy, we expected something much more with a home made charlotte style and taste. Only 3 desserts were on the menu so was obvious for us to pick the charlotte. At lunch time you expect to be looked after very quickly which was not the case. The restaurant was quickly full. I guess after 12.45 it's necessary to book. We didn't.

Le Nogentais was very pleasant and the food was a good standard brasserie selection. It was not a place I would go for a special evening, but it was certainly commendable. The server was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

This review will be as frenetic as my experience at Jacky Ribaultâs LâOurs newly Michelin crowned restaurant in Vincennes, a chi chi town, located a stoneâs throw from Paris by RER. The design and space are magnificent! This is a beautiful restaurant, large, but with nooks and crannies creating intimacy. The emerald greens, oriental rugs, and gold leaf reflect an oriental richness, reminding each patron you are sitting in a special place. That is, until you look up. An incongruous, industrial roof will stare back at you, in total discord with the rest of the design. Je ne comprend pas?An army of tuxedo clad men, no women, scurry about, supposedly ensuring excellent, if not chauvinist, service. I rejected our first table, tucked away in a corner near the kitchen, and chose a spot with a bright window so we could both peer outside and see the food. A huge flower arrangement sat on our table, blocking our view and the serverâs sight line. This will prove to be a major obstacle. Discarding any thought of the offered 45 Euro three course lunch menu, we opted for the five course 75 Euro menu, and awaited the culinary performance. The Amuse Bouch was wonderful, with unique explosions of flavor. Our first course of Sea Bream, a sweet beet sauce, and the tiniest sliver of shaved pork belly was delicious as the beets complimented the fish masterfully. A side of Barley Risotto was a light, earthy partner. The next serving destroyed my wifeâs taste buds. A fishy, overly rich, broiled piece of eel with a sesame Nori, overpowered any other sensation. It was nuclear, too heavy to enjoy. That dish ended my wifeâs lunch. She barely hung in there as I ate the rest of the meal. Asleep an hour after lunch, she asked me to cancel tonightâs dinner reservation. A Japanese inspired broth followed and then a Capon. Everything was good, but not necessarily memorable. Desserts were a nice, fruit soufflé and a goat milk concoction. Portions were hearty and most of the chefâs creations tasted good, but not fantastic. The army of tuxedo clad dudes proved âwell meaning,â but were without leadership or direction. They all shared service and tables, thus ensuring no one received personal attention. They completely forgot my wifeâs wine, and I had to remind them about my vodka three times. However, they always found time to escort me to the bathroom. Thank you very much. The huge flower arrangement sitting in front of our faces didnât help the sight lines at all. Service looked a bit like the old Keystone Cops movies. âWhich way did they go!âThe bill for lunch came to 224 Euros, including one glass of wine, two vodkas, and a small bottle of Perrier. Thatâs a lot of money for just a good meal in a fabulous space.

I like that there is a small menu, including mulles and some beef, chicken meet. The serving and preparation is quick. I was surprised that we got the meal without fries, fries were still cooking, so i am confident and happy that everything is prepared fresh for each customer. The prices are basic, and the restaurant is big, clean and nice. The host have been amazing.

We found chef Guillaume by accident a few years ago in Paris. We enjoyed the ambiance and his cooking at Miel et Paprika and at Guillaume. He enjoyed amazing success, reaching I think No 7 on the TripAdvisor ratings list for all Paris restaurants, with his unique one-man-band Sixieme Sens in Rue de la Roquette near Bastille. We were sorry to see that restaurant close a year ago but we understood that no one could keep up the pace demanded as Guillaume was reception, chef, and everything else.So we were pleased to find that he was reopening Sixieme Sens in a different location with a slightly different concept. This time he has assistance in running the place with a waiter and kitchen hand. However the chef still keep a close eye on the dining room and was willing to chat with each guest about their meal etc. This personal touch was one of the main reasons for the success of the previous Sixieme Sens. The new location is away from central Paris and in the pleasant suburb of Neuilly-Plaisance which is about 15 minutes east on the RER from the centre plus a short walk. It is not the sort of place a visitor or tourist is going to stumble across by accident - you will need to make an effort and, from our experience there a week or two after the opening, the effort is justified. The restaurant is still small, about 30 seats, but that is a lot bigger than the previous version. It is attractive to look at with a small bar and generous tables. The food is the same very high standard. We had tartare of swordfish and carpaccio of duck as starters followed by grilled goose and charlotte of lamb as the main courses. All were of a very high standard. There is a small wine list with a good selection at a variety of prices. Our two courses each and a bottle of wine came at under 90 euros which we thought was very good value. On weekdays there is also a cheaper set price menu for lunch. So, the location has changed but the same high standards haven't. We wish this restaurant every success.

Great place to eat fish and shellfish. Great service. Fast and friendly. Good wines to go with the food. What would one need more?

We came here for lunch. The waiters attitude was great from the start to the end. We took the 23Eur lunch set which offers dishes of the day (starter, main course and yoghurt or dessert). Starter was great (mackerel fish) but the stewed beef was really disappointing as it was way too hard. The risotto side dish did not fit well with the beef. The dessert was a cheese cake which was not outstanding. Average experience overall. The à la carte courses look better indeed but the prices are not the same...

Together with 2 other female friends we went there an evening to dine. The food was great, the people really nice. We ate at the counter and had a really good service. Meat dishes were of the top of the notch: angus meat for exemple was excellent. we shared dishes. Nice side dishes and vegetables as well.
