Reviews on French food in Rio de Janeiro, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Commonly called “blessed by God” by locals, Rio de Janeiro is nestled between world famous beaches and beautiful mountains, and presided over by the statue of Christ the Redeemer. Its nickname of “Marvellous City” is easy to understand after seeing all this buzzing city has to offer. There are attractions that cater to any style - everything from visiting historical landmarks and important cultural centres to relaxing on the beach to enjoying the great nightlife scene. A great experience, steaks are ordered from the menu and sides are served rodizio style. The meats were excellent and cooked perfectly. Service was very good and their English made us feel at home. They even had English menus. Highly recommend.

Having spent £250 in the Paris Gastro restaurant on a birthday meal, we thought we would finish with coffees and after dinner drinks in the elegant bar. No problem , it was half empty, until were told that all the vacant tables were reserved and that we would have to go back to the restaurant !!I asked ' reserved for whom ' - no answer ! I then said why not let us have coffee at a table , and we would leave when the 'important guests' arrived - they finally agreed, and of course no one turned up , but we felt uncomfortable and left soon afterwards.Strange - because the restaurant is very good , excellent starters, a wonderful duck main dish, inventive deserts and a strong I-Pad wine list. Service was a bit naive, but helpful, young staff who try to please but maybe need more training. The room is a faux French with copy furniture in a wonderful building surrounded by real art.Somewhat of an enigma, but worth a visit - just don't go in the bar !!

One of the best restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. The food is amazing! For lunch, dinner and just a coffee with pastries this is the place to go. And every single dish, desert and bread is simply delicious. Fell in love with a new discovery: coconut brioche. The service is pretty good and the prices just fine.Highly recommended!Dear PersonWhoJourneys,We're very happy to know how much you enjoyed Le Vin and that you consider it one of the best restaurants in Rio!We thank you for your recommendation and hope to see you again very soon, be it in Rio, São Paulo or BrasÃlia. "L'Atelier Mimolette" is a newcomer at Ipanema's restaurant scene! On the first months after its opening, it was almost impossible to get a table! It is still not that easy and reservations are highly recommended. It is a cozy restaurant, with a charming décor that reminds you of a cherry trees garden. Service is attentive and friendly. It has not an extensive menu or wine list. So, it is easier to choose and to be helped. We chose "Chevre cheese salad", "Tuna tartare" and "Steak& frittes". For dessert, a mix of all desserts to be shared. Everything was absolutely delicious and we did enjoy our first visit to "L'Atelier Mimollete". Prices are just average to those practiced in similar restaurants in Rio de Janeiro. Only good reasons to come back! Bon Appétit!

Soundtrack of chanson land, cozy lounge and the constant presence of the chef, finishing dishes or circulating between the tables with the touch, are part of the scenery. Owner of a bistro in the center that only works at lunch, David Jobert opened in 201
I went to eat here with Friends and my girlfriend because of TripAdvisor and i have visited a lot of countrys and different restaurants, but the food and the service were outstanding, the only improvement for me was that it was a little cold, because on the aircon, but as soon as we asked, they turned it up a little! After dinner we had a couple of drinks outside with the owner and some of his friends. Good place and i fellt very welcome!!

Now, letâs talk openly. This is an outstanding restaurant, with beautiful decor and impeccable table setting â for me the meal starts with quality table cloths and utensils â all clean cut. The food, ah, the food was delicious. I had a medium rare high fillet that came high and medium rare; service was International standard. The wine selection was great, and we had a Cabernet Franc from Mendonza, Argentina. If you come for the restaurant, though, make you you donât mind being inside of a hotel, in this case Sheraton. The view is great, but the food is better! So be it!Hello Nelsoncerq,Thank you for your comment and for share your experience with us.It's a pleasure for us to know that you enjoy the environment, wine selection and gastronomy. All the details are made to surprise our guests and receive comments like yours shows us that we are reaching our goal.We hope receive you again soon!Greetings,Marina Lanes

We visited for lunch and despite not eating beef which was the main dish of the day the staff were more than accommodating and made us a vegetarian alternative which was excellent. They were on hand to give us anything we needed and you really do have the homely feeling here. All the staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was great and very relaxed. On top of this the food was delicious and we were offered more whenever we felt like it. All the staff were extremely enthusiastic about the project and I would definitely recommend going here.

The first good thing is the reception just in the entrance of the restaurante , very receptive and the same we have with the service during all the time we were there. The menu is excellent and the chef had come to ask us about the service and about the taste and experience with the menu. Very attention and this is a kind of attitude that is very good in my point of view. Don't miss the opportunity if you have to go there.
