Service friendly and attentive enough and the ambience is ok but the food is lacklustre. So-called tatin of fois gras with apple had reasonable duck liver piled with apple sauce and a biscuit of pre-cooked pastry on top. Thatâs not a tatin in my book. Magret de canard ordered seignant was well enough cooked, but uninspiring anyway. Entrecôte was cooked well enough but nothing to write home about. Apple crumble assembled from buckets of ingredients with a shot of aerosol cream. Give it a miss.

Without a reservation, 13 of us descended on this place and were immediately welcomed warmly and one long table was quickly organised for us. Madame, who was obviously very much in charge, quickly identified with us as a group and the service we received from her staff was first class.First class also was the food. There was a good choice of dishes from the menu du jour and it was possible to have just two courses if three was too much.We had a smashing evening, with the staff and madame looking after us all the time. When we came to pay there was absolutely no problem about settling our bills in ones and twos individually, and unlike in so many restaurants there was no extra charge for doing so.Thoroughly recommended.

So glad we chose this fabulous restaurant for our last meal in France. The gourmet burgers were absolutely delicious and the staff were super friendly and helpful. It is a great place for couples or families, the menu is varied and caters for children, there is a large selection of cocktails and imported beers and service is fast without feeling rushed. We will definitely visit again on our next trip to Poitiers.

Located in 32 rue Gambetta in Poitiers, the tea house/restaurant Jasmin Citronnelle is at the intersection of all senses. For 30 years, this place has always been an authentic agitator of taste buds, for both its exceptional teas and its copious lunches.
Very unique and special. A small menu/selection but all freshly made in terms of food. The muffins are delicious. Amazing tea menu and ambience. Best for the summer with the tables outside. Book if you are going for lunch on a Saturday as it's often fully booked. Small so not great with a pram - except in summer when you can be outside. Staff are lovely and charming.

We really enjoyed the menu (starter, main, lovely local cheese, dessert). The 2 chocolate desserts we tried were among the tastiest I've had. The portions are generous, the meat was good quality. The place is decorated in a quirky manner. The service is friendly.

Stopped off in Poitiers en route from Spain to Belgium. This restaurant was just around the corner from our Ibis Styles hotel, and the comments on TA encouraged us to dine there. We were not sorry. Our plates to share of 4 starters were delicious and a nice change. My wife's gnocchi with mushrooms was very tasty, though the gnocchi could have been lighter. My tajine was very nice, the coucous light and fluffy, but their could have been more depth of flavour. Service was pleasant but very slow. We were glad that we got seats with backs as most of the seats are stools.

We visited for lunch before my husband dropped me off at the airport and he returned to our house in Ruffec. The menu of the day looked excellent and amazing value (9â¬50) but we went for a more expensive set menu as it was our last meal together for a little while and we wanted it to be special (20⬠also amazing value). We we were not disappointed! Just the most fabulous, delicious and very special food. We both had the muscles in curry soup to start and what a way to start. We order muscles often but this was the best version weâd every tasted. I had duck for my main and my husband had rabbit, both so good we didnât want them to end. I finished with an indulgent chocolate mousse and my husband has a lovely selection of cheese. The restaurant looked lovely with beautifully set tables, there was a lovely busy atmosphere and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. It was simply fantastic and we canât wait to return!

Prior to the big semi match between France and Belgium in the World Cup, I stepped off the street into the garden-courtyard of this restaurant after reading the menu outside and felt at home. I sat in the back close to the fountain, very cool with a light breeze. I chose the 27 euro menu and a half-bottle of rose from Provence. All were exceptional. The supreme of pintade (guinea fowl) was sublime in a light cream sauce and thick with mushrooms. The final bill for a three course superb menu and a half bottle of wine was 41 euro. Unreal. If you are looking for a place to have dinner, look no further. As many say, though, it may be a good idea to get a ressie: I was there when everyone else in the France was in front of their TV....

A little french restaurant where we made homemade dishs with a lot of locals products, we work with only french meat from a local butcher maxime normand, fresh fish, homemade burger with bread from the baker sebastien forestier
Always full in our experience - essential to book. Nothing to fault - interesting food, excellent wine list, good service, value for money. Find it by passing Biard airport and turning left at the lights after the Intermarche, and first right. Not a romantic setting but go there for the food not the surroundings.
Installé à quelques mètres en face de la gare, notre établissement propose une restauration traditionnelle, composée de produits frais. A la carte vous trouverez salades, burgers maison, viandes, pizzas ou bien poissons. Une ambiance musicale lounge dans
Over the last year Iâve been travelling back and forth to Poitier to visit my girlfriend. We noticed the other week that when she picked me up from the train station that there was a new restaurant open across the road.We booked a table for the Saturday evening and we where greeted by friendly staff which is always good when you walk through the door. We I started to eat I was amazed. The food was incredible, I got the steak which was cooked to absolute perfection it had homemade fries and a sauce that was like nothing else Iâve tasted before. If you get the chance and are in the area I canât recommend this restaurant enough. Iâve been to a lot of restaurants in Poitier over the last year but this one is by far the best I have been to to date.thank you very much for your comment, it's very appreciate to read this comment. thank you and I hope to see you again!
