We go 20kms from Treguier to Paimpol to get to Le Neptune, passing closer restos on the way. It is reliable, good food nicely prepared and with pleasing service. The red and black ambiance is warmly intimate. Three of us had monkfish/lotte, one had cote de veau all of us were happy. We washed our dinners down with carafes of the house white and red. A fine evening unspoilt by anything.

This creperie was just behind our hotel so we just had to visit it one lunchtime. It was a sunny day so we ate outside at one of the little tables with sunshades. It's just behind the harbour so doesn't have a view but is extremely attractive and on the corner of a quiet back street. The menu was the longest list of buckwheat galettes and crepes I have ever seen, thus making a choice very difficult. There are some extremely inventive combinations that I would never have thought of putting in a galette or crepe! Probably the galette I chose (can't remember exactly what it was but it included mushrooms in a delicious sauce and cream) was a little too ambitious for me as it was somewhat rich. Should have known better at my age! Of course we had to wash them down with a jug of Breton cider in the traditional cups. We didn't have any room left for a crepe to follow. The prices are a little on the high side but for the originality involved, we didn't mind. The only reservation I have is that I wonder how such a wide choice of ingredients can possibly all be fresh, but don't be put off by this as it's a charming little place and so typically Breton.

We didn't book for Le Penn Ty and that was almost a problem. We go the last table and many people arrived after us without a reservation and were turned away disappointed. We'd read the reviews and were keen to try out the galettes and crepes and we were not disappointed. Both were really good and we also tried the local cider which was excellent too. Service was good and friendly and not slow despite how busy the restaurant was on the evening we visited. So in summary I would recommend eating here but it's probably a good idea to book.

The restaurant has a very small menu 2 starters and 4 mains. The few dishes are well made. There is a very good vibe in the restaurant and 6 different deserts.

Le Balthazar is a restaurant with a warm and friendly atmosphere in the middle of old stones. The kitchen is made in front of you on the embers in a majestic fireplace. It feels like home, around a good table with homemade cuisine made from fresh, local,
Le Balthazar is a quirky little wine bar in the old town of Paimpol which serves food. There is a good selection of wines, and some nice platters. The hot food is rustic and excellent value for money, all locally sourced. We had a huge plate of belly pork with sautéed potatoes and salad. Absolutely gorgeous and very filling! The restaurant is very small and cosy. The service was great. A lovely place to have lunch.

Fresh foods from French provinces and beyond, Changing weekly, for those whom love to dine and love wine.
We stayed in Paimpol only to eat here. There were six of us and good job we had booked as the restaurant soon was full. The imaginative dishes (I'm sure I had a pig ear for a starter) kept coming along with springingly delicious aperitives and cocktails. Not enough start to say how good it was. Magnificent.

My husband and each ordered different galettes for dinner and then different sweet crepes for dessert. They were all delicious. The best ever. Truly five stars. The service was also delightful. Charming. Our favorite restaurant in all of Brittany.

The service here was great and relaxed. The tuna mi cuit with oriental flavours was fantastic. Great choice of fish for main course even catering without advance warning for my shellfish allergy. Then the strawberry dessert which was pretty as a picture was SO tasty Fantastic cooking. Book before it becomes too popular
