Popped in here for a lunchtime bite. Place was just filling up with locals. Having had a great meal here can see why they come. My wife had roasted camembert with very tasty roasted potatoes and toasted bread alongside a salad. I had a marvelous chicken and bacon risotto. Best one I have ever had. 2 glasses of Affligem and 2 wines. Came to 50 euro. Impeccable service and great chef. We will be back.

Used TripAdvisor to locate a 'nearby' lunch venue and this came up. We arrived at 15 minutes before closing and had 2 dogs but met with a warm and welcoming greeting. We did not realise this was a tartare restaurant, I was thrilled, my sister was not but is up for new experiences. We opted for the beef (us English don't do horse rabbit or even duck quite so happily). My sister and her husband had the plat du jour, I had the classique. I had never eaten this before but oh wow! It was divine. I had lovely fritte with mine, the others had gorgeous potatoes with courgettes and aubergines. I had a recommended glass of red wine with mine that was delicious and perfect. The atmosphere and surroundings were fabulous even if the wall art was slightly disturbing. What a wonderful experience...(the pineapple tartare for desert was beautiful too).

We last visited this restaurant a couple of years ago -it was excellent then.... and still is.Our 9 course tasting menu on 1st July consisted of 4 fish courses (marinated prawn, langoustine, sea cod and pollock), one meat (Auvergne beef), chesse and 3 delicious puddings. All cooked to perfection by Garry, with Ariane provided her usual detailed explanations of what we'd just eaten. On past visits, there has been a more even balance of fish and meat, but I think Garry just cooks what he feels is best on the day, hence the fishy theme last Friday. However, the Garriane never fails to impress. One of the best and most unpretentious restaurants in the Languedoc,

This is a smart restaurant, the premises, the service and especially the food. The chef has a growing reputation and after enjoying some of the results of his talent that reputation is well deserved. The presentation and flavours of the dishes are a delight. They also have an interesting wine list. This place is a great quality establishment and very good value for money, already planning a return visit.

In a nutshell, the â¬39 evening menu (without wine) is astonishing value for Michelin star quality, and I say that with the backing of a fair amount of experience. We also stayed at the Best Western hotel just down the road. L'AbSix is located in a lovely wooden building. Ambience is perfectly acceptable and table-spacings are comfortable. Service was by an enthusiastic young man with wobbly but well-intended English (no Spanish or Catalan) who did his very best to make sure we ordered what we really wanted. Every single dish was highly inventive, perfectly in equilibrium, well-presented, and full-flavoured. The langostine ice-cream (starter) was astonishingly inventive, while the foie gras ravioli was a flavour-bomb. The entrecot was perfectly medium (in France!!!), the bouillabaisse was another flavour-bomb, and the veal in brioche crust sublime (could have had a bit more sauce). Be careful of the chocolate souffle for dessert - it is huge. If already full, the delightful glazed cherry invention was innovative and more delicate. Wines are reasonably priced.Would go back there in a heart-beat.

Arrived in perpignan to watch a rugby game and ate out on several occasions this was by far the best meal. Its a slightly odd combination of french and thai cuisine. Atmosphere was superb, staff although they had to cope with our halting french were really helpful. Starter was recommended by the waitress, spring rolls and dumplings with lettuce and a spicy sauce - superb There were three of us two shared the Marmite (no its a pot not the yeast attract) of assorted seafood - wow large head on prawns, scallops, cuttle fish, mussels, cockles all served in a pot of rice really great flavours, substantial portion highly recommendedMy other son had a wok curry dish which again was outstanding, seafood with coco nut milk , green curry etc - superb Wasn't particularly expensive , beer press ion was icy stella, wine was cheap and excellent - highly recommended

Weâve loved the place, the staff welcoming, the food and the 6 cats. They are all different like humans and they all leave together in this place: « Les Arestochats ». They move from a table to another giving to us their restful and their energy. If you travel in Perpignan, take a moment to have a lunch or just a drink in this unique place.

We had a great time on St.Patricks day enjoying the Cuban music and great drinks. The service was prompt, friendly and very professional. My group of 20 and an amazing time, great little find in this low key French town.
