Food for the soul
Disappointed. We made all the way there after having trouble finding the place. Then, we were refused at the door because they have a private event. The place wasn't pack at all, how could you not accommodate 2 people for dinner. As a restaurant open to the PUBLIC, you could have close down part of it for the event and leave some tables for walk in customers like other restaurants. Bad attitude from your staff as well. I suggest don't waste your time go somewhere else and if you still want to try this place you probably need to call to check if they are willing to take walk in customers.

The french "creperie and bar" serves typical french food. They also serves delicious breakfast, brunch and dinner. Veg, Vegan and Gluten free and lot more options for health and taste. Late night you can enjoy original bucket cocktails.
I began frequenting this location upon their opening and have come back daily. They have one of the few spots with regular coffee (delicious French press), amazing homemade hummus, fantastic waitstaff, and phenomenal desserts. I highly recommend eating here; they have something for everyone.

Cibo Bistro is a great place to enjoy great sandwiches, crisp salads, steak cooked to perfection, grilled fish, light pastas, tasty tapas, desserts, coffees, and good wine selection in the Kathmandu Valley. We make all of our recipes from scratch and use
I've been coming to Nepal since 1973 and among my greatest pleasures in returning these days is visiting CIBO Restaurant just up the road from the Kathmandu-Patan bridge (and just below the Ashok Stupa and the new Labim Mall). The place is wonderful: clean, cheery, tasteful, and--above all--with great food and service. They make everything on site in a sparkling kitchen: the quality of their fresh pita bread and chocolate ice cream are testaments to the care they put to making everything just right. It's hard for me to pick a favorite, since I've never encountered anything on the menu that I didn't like. But I do have to say that the half-sandwich of local goat cheese with the cream of mushroom soup is real comfort food for me. Their meats and fish are delicious, but, especially important for me, they have lots of vegetarian choices--enough to put together a multi-course meal from the delicious potato-cheese croquettes starter, to pumpkin soup, a pasta course, and amazing desserts including a chocolate mousse to die for.One final note from an old Nepal hand: this is the only place in Kathmandu where I'll eat the salad! Owner/culinary inspiration Sagun Pradhan was trained in the Philippines and at Cornell University Statler School of Hotel Management.Dearest Dr. March,Thank you for your 5 star rating and your comment detailing our menu, place, our ethos and background. We are so appreciative of your support, comment and patronage that we do feel obliged to one of our favorite customer, our well wisher and a friend. We are happy to see you and your family at our place every time. We hope to see you very soon.Thank you,Cibo Team and Sagun

A fun place to be! A trendy, yet classy restaurant, serving the most fashionable and innovative dishes and drinks. Inside the historical Chimney room and outside on the new built terrace. With the all times favorites like Smoked Bekti, Chicken a la Kiev,
I had dinner on three occasions over an 8-day stay. The first time, the food was decent, but not superb (I ordered a vegetarian dish), but on the other two occasions, it was truly superb. The staff were nice and cordial and I enjoyed the experience.Dear Valued Guest,Warm Greetings from Hotel Yak & YetiWe appreciate your time taken to write us feedback on TripAdvisor. I've been looking for a decent dal bhat and I'm glad I came here! Very decent personnel, good food (I ate local but they have continental, too).

Lovely setting in ab old palace with a beautiful garden.Very peaceful and stylish place. On the other hand, food was really average and expensive... Service was professional but not really friendly ...I would suggest to choose local cuisine resto when in Kathmandu and eat French cuisine when in Europe.
