The restaurant Bel Ami Normandie offers a short menu that varies according to the seasons. Cuisine is celebrated with a deep respect for fresh and local products, vegetables coming from our vegetable garden. The cuisine is both traditional, gastronomic an
We stayed in little Pacy sur Eure for a short visit to nearby development center for power electronics. Our plans to stay in Paris were crossed by demonstrations in our quarters, so we went straight on to Pacy, where we stayed in Hotel Altina, where we spent a relaxing week-end. The little city is quite charming and we walked along Main Street looking at all the little cafés and shops. And then - without warning, we found an adorable garden and an absolutely fresh and newly renovated hotel. Just by the riverside.Weather was perfect and it was time for a little something to eat. The place seemed to be quite popular - not surprising - but we managed to find a table close to the Eure river. We had Crudités (wife) and I had a Planche Fromages. With all accessories you could wish. Including a very nice bread. We just loved this place. So we had to order something sweet to prolong the stay. An angler had just appeared on the nearby bridge and he had already got a fish that he obviously found too small and threw back - we simply had to wait for The Big One. There was a little thing called Le Coté Jardin (not exactly "Garden Corner" but very close. It turned out to be a very good choice and the waitress told us that it was a local creation by one of the patissiéres of the block. And weather was still nice. The angler still hadn't caught The Big One, but he certainly worked on it. He was visited by a guy with an enormous beard with whom he entertained himself for a while. And then, there was another guy with a somewhat different, but equally impressive beard. Good street show, so to speak. And weather was still just wonderful. It is not the cheapest place. But the total experience is well worth the money. And, did I say that the eating was top notch? .Dear Sir,Thank you very much for your comment. Happy new year 2019. Best regards ElodieDirectrice

We enjoyed to eat here. We visited here advised by hotel's owner. Waiters don't know English, but it was good communication "by fingers", when they even learned us to drink a cider as local - from cups. The galets were excellent. Strongly recommended!

This restaurant was right next to it's own fish shop and everything looked and tasted very fresh. Some of the dishes had a great Asian twist to them, the wine list was good and reasonable and service good. You need to book at weekends as it's quite small and popular

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a Saturday night whilst passing thru this area. The welcome and service overall were excellent - we were really well looked after. The food was delicious particularly the fish and the cookie dessert was wonderful! Good value too.

Lovely Normandy restaurant, fairly close to my sisters home and about 20 minutes from Giverny. The Restaurant Gabriel looks âFrenchâ from the outside but more Scandinavian modern in the inside with one large room with 60âs wood and Formica tables. Though the room is large it is quite and somehow manages to feel intimate with 60-70s music playing softly in the background. The service was impeccable and the presentation very pleasing to the eye. They promote the products of the region through local producers so everything is fresh. We were each served a delicious cold green pea soup served in a parfait glass. I ordered one of their Menu options, they have several along with a few Ala Cart options. My starter was a shrimp cocktail, again presented beautifully and very tasty. My pork dish was divine and presented on a bed of an incredible chopped mushroom dish. My menu included the appropriate wine accompaniment, which was the only disappointment of the evening â light not full bodied. My sister ordered the filet mignon, again the presentation was lovely however she found the meat touch (she thought it fresh beef rather than aged). Her starter was an absolutely fantastic Foie gras. My brother-in-lawâs selection was the steak tartare which he said he would order again. Another lovely evening in Normandy. Price range 30E to 75E including wine.
