I was stuck at the Poretta airport (and what a backwater that is - staying there can spoil Corsica for anyone), and was looking for a decent restaurant to have dinner (without heading back to Bastia). l'entrpot came up on truipadvisor as best in Biguglia. Alas, tripadvisor leads one astray sometimes, and this review is there to help others in the same predicament. (a) It is very difficult to find, and alas really not worth it. (b) The food was greasy and soggy (c) The girls serving mean well, but are out of their depth (more like a roadside diner than a restaurant). For example, they do not even bring a knife and fork to the table - if you want that, you have to ask for it (d) the whole experience is very country bumpkin (in the worst possible sense - like what you get a in a bad movie when you stop on a highway), and (e) It is ridiculously overpriced for what it is. There is a very good boulangerie called Boulangerie Ghisoni-Mariotti just a few metres away - that is a far better option if you are stuck in the area and in need of a bite. I would never return to l'entrepot after my experience there.

We are constantly trying to work closer to our local producers to bring a "nustrale" cuisine Franck and Jessica
Trip Advisor indicated this great restaurant as the place to go and as usual it was right! I had the Cesar salad that a previous visitor recommended and it was amazing - a really big portion but Rick helped! Rick had tuna tartare that was lovely and fresh. Mains were veal burger with tin chips in the burger and I had lamb gnocchi - yummie!!!All washed down with a lovely light red recommended by our delightful lady host.

This really should have been a better meal reading all the reviews - the views are indeed tremendous and the atmosphere welcoming and helpful. But the menu is incredibly limited and the food at best average . The Goats Cheese "doughnuts" are OK but other than the usual cold meats, little else for starters. Main courses are basically Veal - we had the escalope which was passable but the brochette/kebab mostly too tough to manage . The accompanying vegetables and dressings were far better than the meat .Prices are reasonable - limited but interesting local wine list .The village is charming - the views well worth the drive - but the food at best adequate

We were cycling in Corsica during Easter. It was a pure coincidence that we discovered this restaurant. Even with the cycling clothes we were warmly welcomed and served the best lunch in Corsica. The service was highest class possible. We felt very appreciated. Food was authentic corsican. Excellent menu and wine. Apperitif of myrth wine was beautiful. Next time we are in Corsica we are going there again!

We totally enjoyed eating outside at this restaurant. The food was great and the view was extraordinary. Nothing was too much trouble for our waiter.

The bar/kitchen is against the mountain while the tables are across the small one lane road enclosed in a pretty space with a wonderful view. We had 2 take-away pizzas for dinner one evening which were excellent. Would like to try the other tasty looking menu items next time.

La Cigale has a dusty ambience. As you take your terrace table you can watch locals playing boules in the earthy car parking area, drinking menthe and grunting about their shots. This restaurant has a cheerful, uncomplicated nature. Pretty good pizzas, excellent green beans, good calamares, slightly disappointing moules, dull veal, hearty helpings and friendly service with lashings of cheap wine. Oh, and chips with everything. We liked it and went twice during our holiday but it will not delight sophisticates.

We ate at Le Montana last night -- the place is chic for the countryside of Northern Corsica with a young, good-looking clientele. We only ordered appetizers - don't bother with the shrimp beignets, but the baked oysters with generous cheese topping were delicious, and the pastry puff with mushroom sauce delicious. Service very good, and prices reasonable.

Toute la fraicheur du marche sur une ardoise. Des produits d'exception
Sometimes (not that often) a meal gets into a happening. This occured in Bastia once at La Fabrica. One week later (since we could not resist to return) it happened (to our surprise) again! The owner is an entertainer, the chef and the sommelier are masters. So it is very easy, let them compose the dinner and the euphoria will enter! Do not worry, the bill will surprise as well, can not be more priceworthy.
