My husband and I stayed in Nogent-sur-Marne for a home exchange in August. Because a number of places were closed for vacation, we tried La Salamandre for lunch. It was delightful. It was so good that we made reservations for the following Sunday evening. Both times we ate in the lovely patio. The presentation was beautiful. The food was delicious, and the servers were very attentive. I would definitely recommend La Salamandre for anyone who wants a very good meal in Nogent-sur-Marne.

I ate here with one of my friends on a Saturday night and we had an absolutely amazing meal. It was orgasmically good. The wine recommendations were great and really went with the dishes we chose. My duck with pear was one of the best meals I've had for ages and it was nice to have a meal not served with chips but with real potatoes roasted in garlic. If you are in the area you must go to this small but amazing place.

Together with 2 other female friends we went there an evening to dine. The food was great, the people really nice. We ate at the counter and had a really good service. Meat dishes were of the top of the notch: angus meat for exemple was excellent. we shared dishes. Nice side dishes and vegetables as well.

This is a charming little restaurant (recommended by our B&B host) which successfully goes for the authentic, traditional feel. It is relaxed and friendly - no white tablecloths or pretensions - the kind of place where they bring a chalkboard with the daily specials to your table. If you're reading this review, you know that the area is off the tourist routes - especially for Americans - but if you happen to be in town, it's a great little find. The two folks waiting on us (owners?) spoke enough English to get us through the menu. We had lamb and duck - my wife rated the former as "superb" and my duck was very good. The creme brulee was excellent. They appear to have some very nice & pricey wines - we just asked for the house wine (not on menu) which was fine and reasonably priced.

Good food with a Nice environment. Service is done by two friendly girls of which one is the owner together with the brother who is the cook. Would advice others to eat here for sure.

Good place for romantic "rendez-vous", family reunions and of course meals and business Meetings. Sit back confortably in an armchair and let yourself be a very refined taste journey. The chef, Pierre Henri Morel, invites you to discover all the delicacy
We have been going to Les Magnolias for at least 8 years. Every trip is full of delicious plates, surprises and joy. For instance, last night's lamb was served with a leaf of "garlic of the bears", which is wonderful and very seasonal. The macaroon with mustard was served on the side as was their delicious mashed potatoes. If one thinks of the cost of the top quality ingredients, the number of hard-working employees plus the services of both Mr. and Mrs. Chauvel, both the 3 course menu and menu degustation are excellent values! The Nuits St. George rouge at 44 Euros/bottle was delicious! If it were not for the type of suburb it is in, it would have at least 2 Michelin stars. But, please! don't move! The prices would go up and I could not afford to go twice per year. I recommend it whole heartedly.

If you happen to be near Joinville on a sunny day, do not hesitate and get a table at Le Petit Pont. The terrace of this restaurant set in an island is the perfect spot for a relaxed but delicious lunch. You'll be sitting next to the river Marne in a green and quiet oasis. Better book your table by phone though as Le Petit Pont is deservedly considered the best restaurant in town (and probably also the most expensive). On my visit I had a great veal tartare, followed by a perfect cod in chorizo crust. My partner took the oeufs meurette, a house special, made of poached egg, in a red wine with bacon dices sauce, and the pollock . The exotic fruit Pavlova desert was very tempting even if our choice went for the Café gourmand (coffee + small deserts). For all tll this, plus 50 cl of a decent white wine and a large bottle of sparkling water, we paid around 90 euros. The lunch was a really memorable one. Note that this is a place where you need not to be in a hurry. But this is for a very good reason: all food is prepared from scratch before beeing served, as the owner told us. So at rush hour you might have to wait a bit if you just came for a main course. Rather than waiting, do not hesitate in taking an entrée. They are delicious.

Le Nogentais was very pleasant and the food was a good standard brasserie selection. It was not a place I would go for a special evening, but it was certainly commendable. The server was very pleasant, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

We came here for lunch. The waiters attitude was great from the start to the end. We took the 23Eur lunch set which offers dishes of the day (starter, main course and yoghurt or dessert). Starter was great (mackerel fish) but the stewed beef was really disappointing as it was way too hard. The risotto side dish did not fit well with the beef. The dessert was a cheese cake which was not outstanding. Average experience overall. The à la carte courses look better indeed but the prices are not the same...

This is a great place for either a full meal - I had the lamb chops which were delicious - or a quick lunch - my son had a baguette sandwich which was very tasty and only 6 euro. The outdoor tables face the north gate of the castle so there is a lovely view and lots of people watching as you eat.
