Spotlessly clean restaurant and good selection of menu items ranging from light through to heavy. The scallops were cooked beautifully, as was the fish and the duck.

I cannot praise highly enough the standard of the wonderful cuisine offered by this splendid little country restaurant. Every aspect of the meal was faultless. Our hostess was very welcoming and service was excellent throughout . We were treated to sensational amuse bouches to start, showing real creativity and finesse. Our four course feast was magnificent and we all loved the "trou Normand" a silky Calvados sorbet which was beautifully presented in a perfect little rosy apple. A charming and unpretentious restaurant offering generous and exquisite dishes at a very reasonable price. I cannot wait for our return visit!

Located on the square next to the railway station, we weren't expecting anything special.... but wow, don't judge a book by its cover!A small front bar, opening into a series of other rooms and with a lovely little garden courtyard at the rear... ideal for a sunny summer lunch. We all took the set lunch menu option, and still had 3 choices of entrée, main and desert. By chance all ordered the steak, and all four of us raved about the meat (juicy, tender and pink) and the fries (crunchy, golden and in abundance). There was a comprehensive à la carte menu, too.Family-run, with friendly, helpful staff who even re-arranged tables and umbrellas for our convenience... call in even if you only have time for a drink before your train leaves.

I visited this cafe twice on a recent visit to the area, a warm welcome from the staff who went out of there way to accommodate us due to the cafe being really busy at lunchtime.Food was excellent and reasonable priced.I would not hesitate recommending the cafe to anyone who wants to experience a proper French cafe and its ambiance. Top marks !

1 o'clock and pouring with rain. Here was shelter. The place was full and buzzing nicely, it looked and felt like a brasserie from a TV play. Quintessentially France. The menu de jour, nothing fancy. Two fishy courses and a splendid bottle of Muscadet later and even the sun came out to play. Special mention must be made of the accompaniment to the main course, a light egg flan with tiny dice of red pepper and aubergine, one of the nicest things I've eaten in a while. Wish there were more places like this around.

The genuine old france still lives (though almost extinct). If you are looking for solid authentic french basic food (schnitzel with cream sauce, steak tartar, crepes etc.) without the modern or elaborated touch in an old center of town - here you go. Genuinely friendly. inexpensive (2 people 2 aperitifs, each 2 courses, 1 bottle of cidre totaling 40 EUR) and with an ok terrace on the town square. No michelin star but we spent a nice summer evening there. Not a place to drive 500 km for, but if you are in the area you can stop there.

We had dinner here on Sunday evening as it seemed to be the only decent restaurant open in the town. It's very small and the tables are tightly packed. Within a short time of our arrival there was only 1 free table, so there was a pleasant and lively atmosphere. The only waiter was attentive though obviously under pressure to keep everyone happy. The restaurant is essentially a crêperie, not our preferred cuisine, but the menu choice was good and we found items to please us. We had galettes with different toppings, the presentation of which was very artistic. I had cod which was delicious. However, the portions weren't great. I ordered a green salad and this was small and very poor value @ â¬3.50. Not being full, I then had a crêpe with honey and almonds; this was delicious but again expensive @ â¬7.60. The rosé wine, though not quite the cheapest, was also over-priced @ â¬23.00.The service was good and the waiter very friendly. We enjoyed the meal but felt it was poor value for what we had (with a generous tip, the bill came to â¬75.00)Monsieur merci pour votre avis pour information la salade est issue de l'agriculture biologique. le miel est du miel local de Luigny.Au plaisir
