After a little pre-dinner drink we wandered down the rue Napoleon and decided to eat at U Spuntinu as they had tables available outside. After recent experience of the huge portions that get served up we decided to skip starters and go straight to the mains and if we had room to consider the other Corsican pudding we hadnât yet had.Surprise surprise we neither managed to finish our main courses - ravioli for Elaine and veal stew with aubergine gratinee and courgette beignets for me. Despite them being very tasty we both had to surrender without completing them. But as they gave us some time we shared the chestnut flan - but still couldnât finish that! Good for food and efficient service makes for an enjoyable meal and we are now looking forward to pastures new at Erbalunga for the last two nights of our stay in Corsica

if your'e anywhere in the west or north of this wonderful island you must visit this restaurnt its the very best anywhere around. the setting is beautiful and tranquil the food magnificient teh langoustine starter most likely the best plate of food I've ever eaten, My veal main course and sweet both almos as good my lady was equally impressed with her three totally different courses too. The lady co owner was very helpful explaining all the courese in good English. The gastronomic highlight of the week which was gastonomically superb throughout anyway(see my other local reviews). Not for the frugally minded but if you want the best give it a whirl.

I have had lunches and diners here on my various visits to Ille Rousse over many years and it never fails to amaze. Food is wonderful, service is excellent and the views are amazing! Book a table overlooking the bay and watch the fire planes take on water, when they are fighting forest fires, you donât see that very often!Dear clients ,We would like to thank you for giving an excellent rating to our restaurant and the time to write your great review! We are happy to read that you keep a good memory of your recent visit and we hope to have the chance to see you again during your next visit to the region :)Best regards .Management and all his team.

Sitting under the canopy with roaring wood oven created a lovely ambience. This restaurant catered to my gluten allergy offering a baked potato instead of chips, beautiful dish of the biggest grilled lamb chops I have ever seen and vegetables. Great value.

This small cafe off the main square offers fantastic Corsican specialities. The menu is quite small but the quality is high. The salads are particularly recommended, and have a great balance of leaves, with tomatoes olives and Corsican meats and cheeses. Service is friendly and quick, and the prices are very reasonable. There is a very good selection of drinks. This is an excellent place for a lunch with authentic Corsican ingredients.

Our hotel in Ile Rousse recommended this restaurant to us, having immediately recognised a tasteful & discerning couple (obviously ??). It was pointed out it would be a little more expensive ... but worth it; and we found this advice to be spot-on. The unprepossessing exterior and the sl. quirky interior should NOT distract from the absolute excellence of the cuisine. In our opinion this is a seriously underated restaurant.

Le concept de votre bar à viande est de vous proposer de la viande rouge de très grande qualité à un tarif raisonnable et accessible au plus grand nombre
A fine spot for lunch on the corner of the square near the church. Stopped off here enroute from the train station and it proved a great place to start to our holiday in Ile Rousse. Helpful staff, good wine and yummy food.

The Restaurant la Santa became our favourite place to eat out when we stayed in the nearby village of Muro in May 2015. Parking is easy as there is a church carpark opposite the restaurant. We received a warm welcome from the manager and were seated on the outside terrace with fabulous, far-reaching sea views. As it was chilly, the terrace was enclosed and heaters turned on. There is an extensive choice of menu chalked on tall blackboards that are balanced precariously by the table. Options included boar, goat, lamb, beef, chicken, duck, pork, and various fish. The menu changed daily. There is also a pizza menu with a wide choice of toppings. Highly recommended.

Le Nouveau bar à vin et tapas situé dans la vieille ville d'Ãle Rousse a deux pas du marché couvert
Ile Rousse is a pleasant small town where the ferry brings tourists. It was lovely to discover this simple, tasteful tapas bar down a side alley, which was a delightful difference to other touristy places. The food was fun and different but what initially caught my attention was the most delicious smell of cooking which lingered in the street.

Le Morgan is located in the centre of town and is more sophisticated than many of the seafront eateries. The prawn starter was perfectly cooked and generous. Six oysters with rye bread ( the latter a little dry) were extremely good value served with a plain shallot vinaigrette. Main courses were well presented - especially the pink tuna dish. The lamb was an unctuous and substantial dish. Dessert was novel- a tray of interesting cake style options is presented at table on a tray, from which you select. We chose a chocolate pyramid filled with mousse- it was a bit ordinary but nevertheless enjoyable. Wine was reasonable. The service was very good, considering that just one, highly efficient individual, was managing the table service and the bar- she still made time for a pleasant and friendly chat with everyone. The restaurant itself was almost full as you might expect on a Saturday evening, and it was very convivial. The lights were perhaps a little bright and the Coca Cola machine in the corner didnt add anything to the atmosphere. A few tweaks and this would be a great restaurant not just the best in Lle RousseThanks you for your comments, We are opened just 1 year and don't worry, litlle and little we will be change all old machine and machine of coca cola also :D Have a nice day,Direction
