Chef Soerke re-creates classic, simple, delicious French and French-American fare in this small space. He also has been certified as "green and sustainable," setting a standard for this eco-tourism destination. Highly recommend. Moderately-priced, knowledgeable wait staff, good wine list.

Bistro Moulin is a cozy European Bistro located above Cannery Row in Monterey. French chef/owner Didier Dutertre's classic cuisine is exquisitely prepared and French wine selections are plentiful. Bon Appetit !
Bistro Moulin was a wonderful place for dinner. The pate was excellent . The mustard, caramelized onions and cornichons were the perfect accompaniments to the pate and bread. Best pate I have had in the Bay Area (recognizing this is Monterey). While I would not think that spinach gnocchi would fit in the setting, it did. The duck confit is as good as in Paris. Casual environment but amazing Bistro food. You should end with profiteroles.
