I'm focusing on restaurants which provide value for money lunches in and around Mirepoix. Les Minotiers restaurant has a classy feel about it with lots of space and a very relaxed atmosphere. The Maitre'D was very helpful in explaining the menu du jour which we always opt for as a baseline for comparing the budget lunch options at local restaurants. There was no choice but what we had was very pleasant. For starters we had ham stuffed with celeriac in a creamy sauce. Main course "choux farcie" ie. cooked cabbage stuffed with very tasty slightly spicy minced pork. Desert was a lemon tart topped with meringue. We had a carafe of the house red and finished with coffees and the bill for three came to 41â¬.

We have dined at La Flambee almost weekly throughout the winter and the welcome, service and food have been reliably excellent every time. Their pizzas and steaks are second to none and they cook the tastiest fries I have ever had. Their house wines are eminently drinkable and very good value. We have lived in Mirepoix for some years and enjoyed the food from the last owners but we think the under Julie and her team everything is even better. For good value hearty food look no further. Just booked for tonight. Mmmm!

We eat twice at this restaurant one for dinner and once for lunch. The proprietor had changed since our previous visit but our experience of dinning at Le Comptoir Gourmand was just as good. My wife had the cassoulet and I had the lamb when we eat at lunch time and both meals were excellent. The host is a charming man and we enjoyed his sense of humour greatly. On Easter Monday we lunched here with our French friends and we increased from a table of four to a table of eight! Two couples either side of our table joined in wine tasting and chatting about everything! It was a fantastic experience. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the repartee. We sat in the garden for our meal and we were allowed to enjoy the whole experience. Le Patron even joined in to make it a memorable occasion. It's different and therefore we'd recommend eating there.

We had been to Le Petit Bouchon last year and had a similar experience. I did not leave a review at the time, since I realize every business has its bad days. Because it has good and ample seating, We gave it another chance this year and had lunch there. We are French-American, and speak perfectly French, so language was never an issue. My son is extremely allergic to dairy products (can be lethal), and we made it clear to the waiter who duly noted it, including that the meat should not be served with the sauce that contains butter. Like the previous year, his meat came with the sauce anyway... and we had to send it back. It came back, and we noticed another ingredient on the plate, and we inquired to learn there was milk in there too. We send it back for the second time. That was all after a very long wait where we had to inquire about our order to get anyone to pay attention. We were seated by noon when service opened, but got our meal by 12:45... We received no apologies for the long wait, had 3-4 different waiters/waitresses handling us, no one remembering us or coming to inquire about our well being. When i checked-out I asked if they'd make a gesture. They declined. Oh, and the food overall was average.

Had a light lunch here. Arrived a bit late but they were very accommodating. Tasty food, although menu is a bit limited. I had the onion tart which was delicious. Very French feeling to the restaurant and cosy, despite the Wild West pictures and hunting theme. Good prices for prime location and service was efficient and friendly. All in all a really good experience. Would recommend.

Lovely leafy courtyard, friendly service, nicely cooked traditional food. This is what you expect from the Commerce and this is what you get. It would be nice if the menu changed occasionally or if the had some daily specials but the steak was good and the trout delicious. Very friendly service, the young lady was forgiving of my poor french. All in all a nice evening.

In spite of its good reviews, we weren't expecting much because this restaurant is right on the main square and looks sort of touristic...but we were tired from traveling and just wanted something to eat. We were very pleasantly surprised. Dinner was great, reasonably priced, etc. So great, in fact, that we went back for lunch the next day, and were equally pleased.Give it a try. In our limited experience, it was the best of several places on the main square.

Quiet and peaceful garden setting. Sunday night about 7:30pm no reservation but later on people were turned away. Took great care in adjusting the menu to cater for non dairy. Food is well presented with an interesting Asian influence. Take care to read the menu ahead of time since the choices are not extensive.

Le restaurant Le Grain de Sel à Mirepoix en Ariège vous propose une cuisine maison élaborée à partir de produits locaux de saison. Nous travaillons en collaboration avec des producteurs proches de notre restaurant dont certains ont le label bio.
Lovely lunch with friends at Le Grain de Sel, friendly, efficient staff. The restaurant is just off of the main square so itâs peaceful and quiet. The food portions were generous, home cooked food and great tasting. I had the goats cheese and aubergine tartlet to start and it was substantial, probably a meal in its own right. The Veal was also beautiful, tender and flavoursome. Would definitely recommend and hopefully weâll eat here again soon.

No8 at Relais de Mirepoix offers lunch with a choice of 2 starters, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts which you can enjoy this either in our beautiful courtyard or our impressive dining room. Thursday Friday and Saturday nights you can enjoy an evening meal in
We met up with some friends that live locally to Mirepoix and we have been wanting to try this place out. Whilst the prices are at a premium to the region, I wouldn't hesitate to have a meal here. The food was very well presented and delivered great taste with very good seasoning. The owners are very approachable and if appeared all the others dinners seemed to be having a similar experience. We are looking forward to returning for an overnight stay out of season.Dear JocelynHale, Thank you for your review, our prices certainly are a price that represents good value for money and our service represents our beautiful plates. We do hope you will return and enjoy all we have to offer again.
