My family and I dined here last night. The food was truly fantastic. The filet was perfectly cooked and tender (Iâm very picky about meats), the ratatouille was better than any Iâve ever had, and my sonâs lamb shoulder stew was nothing short of spectacular! Such an interesting blend of spices that complimented each other expertly in this dish. If I had any criticism of the food, my sautéed shrimp was underwhelming, but everything else was on point. The service was great and I appreciated the chef allowing my daughter to order a sandwich, which I assume was from the lunch menu, as sheâs been very adventurous food-wise this trip and just wanted some comfort food. This place strikes just the right balance of comfortable elegance while serving good food made well. Its the kind of place that if it were in my neighborhood, I would be there weekly. Thank you so much for your very kind review. We tried Le Bistrot for lunch. They were serving their dinner menu plus a sandwich menu. My daughter had a sandwich and fries. They have an extensive choice of French stews and I wanted the lentil stew but it was not available,so I had the beef Bourgogne. It was ok but tasted like maybe it had been reheated from frozen? The wine by the glass was a generous pour and not bad quality. This is one of the only places in Chiang Mai that I am aware of that has real bistro style food, and I want to go back and try them for dinner. For me, it is not really a lunch place. Thank you very much for your review & comments The Bourgignon is not frozen but vacuum pack since t take 5 days to process.So for the ''Petit Sale au Lentille'', since i order 70% of my items from Over sea some times i can not have all i want looking forward to see you again Le Chef

Went with my wife to this establishment on 27 th February- booked by our marvellous hotel 99 the Heritage- arr on time at 7 pm - nobody in restaurant at this time- my wife went see if the chef who was widely mentioned in previous reviews was cooking that night- the french man in charge said he could not speak English - the chef was apparently in Laos - the stand in manager was rude - never got out of his chair had earphones in and showed no interest in us even thought the place was empty . This establishment has had many good reviews but also some very poor ones - such a shame - we left the place and will not be back. This place is beautiful and well decorated with a good atmosphere like south-east of France, the Provence. The coffee is very good, croissant, almond croissant, kouign-aman, madeleine are baked with the french butter, that's a big difference! If you want to lunch there, it's possible and the quality is real. Easy to park the car, I advice this establishment.

My wife and I I have had many dinners (as only opened in the evening) in this superb restaurant. In fact superb is a true understatement as it looks more like a royal palace of human size than any other restaurant I know in the world.Food has always been very good, but now it has even further improved to be possibly the best French food in Thailand made by a very talented young French chef.What is even more stunning is the price of the tasting menu which at THB 1800 is a true bargain considering on the one hand the fabulous ingredients, many imported from France, and the extremely refined preparations made by the chef. And you will have many different courses in small quantity.The wine list has every single label you can dream of, including the most famous in the world. All are perfectly kept in a professional temperature and humidity controlled cellar. The prices for the wines can be a little steep but nothing to do with the hotel, just to do with Thailand having the highest taxes on wines in the whole world at 485%.Service is perfect but didn't I write that you felt like being in the Royal Palace!You have a choice between being on the terrace which overlooks a rice paddy surrounded by the hotel villas: this view is so pretty, so romantic that it just cannot be described: do not forget that this restaurant is within the most beautiful hotel in Thailand, the Dhara Dhevi. You can also be inside which is unbelievably pretty.This restaurant is certainly the best kept secret in this beautiful country as there is no publicity whatsoever. But now you have no excuse not to go!

The food here really shines, many choices and wonderful flavours . Cocktails great too!Very warm and friendly.Sadly the piano music becomes irritating quite quickly, loud repetitive tunes and far too many happy birthday renditions through the evening.Good reason to return... piano puts me off though!
