Reviews on French food in Libreville, Estuaire Province, Gabon. Named for the freed slaves that helped build the port town, Libreville has grown into an elegant and wealthy capital city since Gabon gained independence in 1960. The seafront boulevard is lined with expensive hotels and stores, while the Louis quarter is known for its stylish clubs, restaurants and bars. Pointe Denis, accessible by a short boat ride, is a resort island with some of the area's best beaches. The Sibang Arboretum, just outside the city, showcases the country's unique flora.

A couple of South Africans met up in Pauls for a get-together. Not many South Africans in town, but we do make time to get to know one another. The burger is great. I love the ice-cream and we almost always take a bag of croissants home with us afterwards.

Apparently this has only recently re-opened after a period of renovation. It is now a beautifully styled restaurant with large round windows giving a lovely view of the beach. The maitre d was charming and didn't give us any menus just gave the whole menu to us verbally. The food was absolutely yummy!!! We were in a group and I wasn't paying but imagine it was quite expensive but definitely worth it. A gem of a find! ;)

A great place for a business dinner... or to take your loved one out! Perfect tasteful decoration, the photos provided here don't lie. The tables are impeccably dressed and the tablecloths flawlessly ironed. The service is attentive, discreet, and impeccable, A waiter is always around to refill your glass, just like at the best tables around the world, and they provide additional information about the different dishes at the buffet. The Bordeaux wine is very well chosen by management.I'd recommend the stuffed crab and the very tender wild boar, but there is so much to choose from that I wasn't able to try all the dishes, which all looked delicious.

For a snack or a buffet, an hour at the bar or a day by the swimming pool, the Beach Club is great for a family time.5 mins from the airport.Closed on mondays, buffets: friday night with orchestra and sunday breakfast and lunch.
The food was good, and the view was even better. The restaurant is poolside and located in a major expat area, and just down the street from the American Embassy, Presidential residence, and Onomo Hotel. The food is pricey but the evironment is great. This time of the year, there was a wedding there nearly every weekend, so you have to squeeze in when you can to grab a bite or to swim a lap or two.

We decided to have diner with some friends in Lokua and were amazed by the quality of service and the organization of the personnel. Food was very good, though cookers were a bit long to prepare the meal. But overall an excellent performance, including the bar on ground floor where a band is playing live music ...

The deco might not be to every one's liking. It is none the less an upmarket venue in Libreville, and as such you can expect to pay a premium. I have however experienced similar prices in restaurants of little quality in LBV.When I visited the manager doing the round to each tables to give the specials of the day. Traditionnal fair were the order of the day, and I ended up not looking at the menu.My order was well excecuted, service was well above average, and a very decent wine list.In my opinion one of the very best in LBV.

Went there for lunch earlier this week, the restaurant is easy to find in the Glass neighborhood although there is no real sign outside.Service is decent and food is pretty good, particularly the fresh fish served everyday. It would have deserved a higher rating but these folks don't make any effort to accommodate non smokers. The restaurant reeks nicotine and client, most of them europeans/ expats, smoke everywhere. Really disappointing!Le restaurant est maintenant non fumeur.

I loved this place. The service was really good and although it looks like a casual beach bar the food is excellent. The house foie gras is a must have. The grilled fish of the day is also delicious. Everything we ate was really good and the house wine is also good - not the terrible box wine you get in a lot of places. I will go back many more times when I visit again.

Not very pretty for street appeal, but once inside the decor took my breath away. a couple of steps down takes in into a cavernous bar that seems to be misplaced. A winding path takes you past a huge fish pond in the floor with bridges directing patrons to their seated areas; one such seating is at the ponds edge and has a huge glass table so you get to see the fish while you eat. My family and I had the snail starter, followed by a mixed grill serving and a rather handsome serving of french fries. Great place to bring a couple of friends.
