This place is hard to find, tucked away on a country road l in the Basque country side, near the Spanish border (we came based on advice from a friend, and had quite a hard time finding the place). What we found was a truly authentic cider house, with mostly locals sitting at the long tables, drinking their cider and enjoying the excellent cuisine. And the prices are very reasonable too, especially considering the quality of the food.Very much recommended!

Simple honest local fare that is reasonable and nice. The staff was very friendly when we asked for directions so we came back for lunch. The veal mince stew was hearty but the local sausages with fries was tops. Especially the hand cut fries which was cooked to perfection. They were not overdone like some or limp and oily but just beautifully crisp golden brown with enough salt to just make you go . . . Wow! And this was after we've just come from San Sebastián!

We arrived to our accommodation tired and hungry and our hosts recommended Trinquet Pleka, only a short walk from Chalet Elisa. On realising our limited French the chef came out to personally explain the menu. We elected to have entree, main and dessert/cheese which all sounded fabulous. Chef said he would also bring us a small serve of lentil soup each which was yummy but filling.Our eyes were bigger than our tummies but there was no problem changing / reducing the order for our dessert/cheese course. The food was all beutifully fresh, local (Basque) or traditional (French) and the service was friendly and the courses arrived nicely spaced out. The place was filled with locals and the bar in the next room was busy and happily noisy. It is also possible to get simple fare including a hamburger but all made on site including the bread.

Ayer estuvimos cenando una ventresca al horno y una ensalada con magret que se hacia la boca agua. Precios buenos. La dueña nos atendió personalmente y nos hizo sentir estar en casa. Esta noche repetimos, por supuesto.

... actually got a nice one, but a bit on the hard side and definitely not at the level of others had in the area. Overall enjoyable dinner, big portions and a very nice athmosphere.

Todo lo tiene muy positivo, tanto el menú, la calidad, el trato y el precio. Pocas veces he comido un gazpacho de fresas y realmente este estaba delicioso.

The stunning views from the restaurant make this a wonderful experience. The â¬14 menu of the day has a wide choice of starters, mains and desserts and include a glass of wine and bread. Coffee is extra, at â¬1. A lovely meal, although I wish the staff had tried to look as though they were enjoying it as much as the guests.

J'ai tout résumé dans le titre, ce restaurant se trouve dans un lieu tellement agréable, accessible sans efforts particuliers, ou pouvant être une étape avant de remonter vers la Rhune. On y mange simplement mais c'est bon, on a plaisir à manger à l'ombre des arbres de la terrasse. La carte laisse le choix pour tous les goûts. L'accueil et le service sont sympathiques, on est vraiment dans une ambiance particulière, on se sent bien à la Venta Inzola.
