This is the best of the lower priced restaurants at the port in the Le Verdon. There is a very large choice of menus at a very popular location. The owner is friendly and the foos is good. Very good price-quality relation. It's also the last place before the ferry and the view to Royan.

Guinguette le long d'un chenal avec cuisine au feu de bois viandes et poissons frais direct pêcheur.bar avec licence Iv.
We found this restaurant whilst visiting the market at the Old Oyster Port (Tuesday nights?). Deciding to stop for dinner we were impressed enough in the quality of food and service to pay another visit later that week and again were not dissappointed.Let's be real here, this is not high end gastronomy however the food was probably some of the best we tasted in LeVerdon on our visit. The casual relaxed ambiance of the setting clearly helped plus the industry of the waitress and her ability to cater for all patrons efficiently and courtiously is a credit to the establishment (co-workers take note).Great bbq'd food, relaxed atmosphere and tables at a premium. Overall make a trip to try it out.

Our meals, duck and mussels were both excellent. Well priced and simply prepared, but very tasty. Our wine recommendation was excellent as well from a local winery. But not to go unnoticed were the friendly, caring, and hardworking staff that go out of their way to make you feel appreciated.

This place is really busy at lunch. It's on the marina of course not in town, but the harbor views are very nice and the patio is well shaded. All plates looked excellent and the menu is diverse.

Have eaten there several times. The food is prepared to order and plenty of it. It is well worth waiting for. I always take a doggy bag because I can never eat it all. Friendly staff, and did I say great and huge plates full of delicious food. Well worth a visit.

On an ambient sunny Sunday, we decided to join with the locals and take lunch in this Marina-side eaterie. The position was great, the weather was warm, there was a buzz about the place, so we ordered our food, and sat back to contemplate our lunch. We waited.... And waited...and waited. Eventually a harassed waiter approached us to let us know that our wine was free, and that our food would be 'cinq minutes'. Well cinq minutes came and went, the novelty of the marina-side ambience wore thin, and the waiter returned to confirm our order...a sure sign that it had been forgotten. When my Moules arrived, they were average and on the cool side of Luke warm. My Frites tasted like they had been cooked the previous Tuesday, my wife's Spaghetti Carbonara was awful ... A lump of congealed spaghetti with a tasteless drying sauce. The experience was very poor so we left without leaving any sort of tip. I could have forgiven the service issue if the food had been worth waiting an hour for. As it was, in hindsight, I wouldn't have waited 10 minutes for such a second rate meal. So that's why it gets 2 stars from me.

Our first night in Royan and were drawn towards this Portside restaurant on the Strip .A warm and inviting Welcome .A broad selection of plates .Good quality food albeit simple dishes .Large portions and friendly services .Typical overpricing but they are all the same on Portside .You pay to eat on the Harbour in the sunshine!
