Le Laetitia is ggod eatery on the side of the road, just before Le Perthus and the Spanish Border. It has elements of Spain and France on the menu. We used to eat there regularly until a couple of years ago, and we revisited there last week to see if there had been any changes. Not much has changed, slightly larger terrace, and a general spruce up - and the staff seem to be the same, and we were warmly welcomed. It is a good value place in a good location and has good service. This time my wife had a lobster salad, oddly it had 3 claws, so it was actually 1.5 smallish lobsters, which I am sure would be thrown back if caught on a british boat. I had a filet steak, which was good and worth the extra over an entrecote. )See my other reviews when it comes to entrecote and France!)Worth stopping at and you will have good food at a reasonable price, and if outside eating isn't your thing, there is an air conditioned rear dining room, plus a large inside dining room.
A faire absolument.

Ate here this week and it was horrible! Not sure how they made french cheeses taste so bad! Starter of prawn cocktail was mixed seafood straight from tub, pork unrecognizable and cheese was cold and horrible. We are staying in le boulou for 2 weeks but will not be going back !!

This purpose built restaurant and banqueting facility is hidden on an industial estate. It is modern, very clean but has an enclosed garden with views of the mountains.Only open lunch times, the menu changes daily and for 15 euros a head is excellent value. The starters were all made on the premises and not bought in (you can tell). We had a steak and fresh tuna as main courses. It was the tastiest and most tender steak we have eaten in the area with fresh, not frozen chips. The roquefort sauce was exquisite not the thin salty stuff you often get. The tuna was beautifully cooked (still pink but not raw) accompanied by freshly made ratatouille which really sang in the mouth. We indulged ourselves with (again) freshly made peach melba to order. Good quality local wine was included in the price. We were delightfully surprised at this find and shall be back (frequently).

Restaurant offers french traditional cuisine at affordable prices and good quality. Specialty cooking on the plancha. Open every day.
Overnight stay in Le Boulou so we tried this restaurant after reading previous reviews. What a little gem! We guess it's probably family run and we had the self service menu. Self serve choice of starters including snails, sardine pate and an amazing pork terrine amongst others. Then a choice of main plate. My partner had the biggest saucepan of mussels we had ever seen! Then dessert and coffee. Together with a litre carafe of wine all for â¬43 about £33! Excellent meal, not Michelin star but good rustic food.

The restaurant offers simple but enjoyable food. The barman/waiter was very attentive to our needs and was very friendly . His english was basic and so was our french but with good humour we were able to communicate.
