We parked the car, and walked towards the entrance of an enchanted forest. There, we were greeted and welcomed with an aperitif called, intriguingly, La Galipette, and shown to our table (made out of a huge wooden cable spool). It is ideal for family parties and children, as there are little magical 'scenes' set in the woods, which our little girls found spellbinding. As the evening light faded, purple spotlights shone onto a stone ruin, casting a spell, and three troubadours appeared and sang wonderfully harmonised medieval songs without music. The menu is simple and somewhat "like it or leave it", and we had to walk up to a make-shift counter and collect our own food. The atmosphere has been carefully choreographed so that you imagine that you are in another world, certainly a more peaceful world that the reality! Our party thoroughly enjoyed this special evening, we enjoyed the food, the entertainment - it's really worthwhile.

Pizza, tradesmen lunch ok - finer stuff seems a struggle. V busy at lunch, v quiet in the evenings but if you need something fairly quick and gut fill go along. Also not the best location busy road - and close to supermarche.

Our first time in this restaurant and we were struck by how few tables there are on the terrace. The food was just OK, but the service was so slow as to be annoying. We both ordered the fish which was OK, but the accompanying mac and cheese was really disappointing. The wine was quite good.

Stopped for lunch with Bamboo the dog in tow, so we ate out on the terrace in beautiful December sunshine. Perfect goats cheese & ham pizza with wonderful thin & crispy base, helped along with a splash of rose. Would definitely return.

This is an attractive looking restaurant in a nice location. It only offered 3 mezze vegetarian dishes despite stating they are vegetarian friendly. Neither of those words could be applied. I cannot comment on the food as we were not served but rather ignored by the serveuse who was sullen and never approached us at all being more concerned with attending to people who arrived after we did. This is not typical of any of the other restaurants in Lauzerte. We dined extremely well after being welcomed at the Auberges des Carnes on the Faubourg.

A great little restaurant, very popular with the locals and serving good food at very reasonable prices and big portions. For one lunch I had the duck confit which was excellent and my husband had a duck chilli which was really different and very good. We went there twice for late lunches. The service is friendly and fast. It's not fancy but has a nice atmosphere and is very clean and comfortable. It also is open all the day not like the usual restaurant hours kept in France. My French is pretty bad but not a worry as the owner spoke perfect English.

Another wonderful meal. Beautiful restaurant and excellent food cooked by Annie and assisted by Valentine. Always warm and friendly welcome. My favourite restaurant. Demi magret is my absolute favourite treat and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend but advise you to book as it's always busy. Thank you Annie and valentine and see you soon!

Lauzerte, such a wonderful spot to have lunch. And the 3 Chevaliers seemed just the right place to have it, with it's enticing menu full of locale specialities, the pretty tables in the shade and the view of the medieval square. But golly, was the kitchen SLOW today! It took the waitresses 15 minutes to serve us some bread and water and take our order. And it took the kitchen a further 40 minutes to get our two salads mixed. We love the concept of "slow food" but this was overdoing it a bit. The salads, when they did arrive, were excellent by the way ! Hopefully the staff were just having an off day...

We enjoyed a great lunch here on the terrace. We settled for the basic formule - which involved a four course meal with choices for each course for 14 Euros. Everything was fresh and well-presented. Plenty of choice for those wishing to try the more expensive set menus - all the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked good! Friendly and efficient service from all the staff.
