Enjoy an experience both memorable and pleasant in a stylish setting with only 15 seats. In a most natural manner, Chef Armel Bedouet comes to your table and advises you on the products he has carefully selected today. Drawing on his extensive experience
Chef Armel Bedouet gave us a sensational gourmet dining experience at L'Aparté Restaurant at the Hotel Royal Geneva. Each dish of his tasting menu was exquisitely prepared and beautifully plated to enhance the flavours, textures, and aromas.L'Aparté is a separate dining room located off the end of Bogie's and Le Bistro in the restaurant area at Hotel Royal. Our very attentive and knowledgeable waiter, Thomas Scott, assisted Chef Armel, and also translated the verbal descriptions of each dish that the chef gave into English. We pleasantly lost count of the delicious dishes we enjoyed. Standouts were a "deconstructed" Sushi, the Char "cooked" in sea salt; tender Pigeon Miéral (seared breast of pigeon served very rare) with White Asparagus; Roasted Langoustine; a flaky tender Seared Sea Bass with Spring Vegetables; and an exceptional Morel Stuffed with Poultry with an Almond Milk Foam and Shaved Asparagus. Chef Armel's tasty marine choices reflect his seaside roots from Brittany,The sommelier, Gaëtan Dubret, chose for us a yummy Swiss 2015 Pellegrin Pinot Gamay that paired extremely well with all the dishes.Thomas helped me with a delicious selection of local French and Swiss cheeses made from cow's and goat's milks for my dessert, My wife agreed that the aged Gruyères were fabulous. Thomas brought my wife a "pre-dessert" of red fruit gazpacho to cleanse and refresh her palate, followed by a sinful plate of crumbled shortbread with red fruits and a scoop of strawberry sherbet. OMG...Thomas then brought one final plate of a variety of irresistible cookies and chocolates! This tasting menu was a dining extravaganza that was sheer indulgence. Who could resist!Thank you so much for your amazing review of our restaurant.I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your dinner with us. It's something our staff takes great pride in, so we value your feedback. Chef, Gaëtan and Thomas are all ready to welcome you as soon as you wish!Best regards,Nicolas Sabatier

This is a nice place where it is easy to have some good time. The menu is short, modern and well balanced and the food is simply good. Good products, nice presentation, pleasant taste. Nothing extraordinary but the pleasure is here. Location is not the best, although reasonably central it is on a high traffic street, but once inside that is no longer a problem. Service courteous and efficient. Prices average. Definitely a good address in Geneva.Dear JMGeneva,Thank you very much for your positive comment. Hope to welcoming you again.Best regards from the whole Team of the Bistro

Today was the second time I have been here (one for dinner and one for lunch) and both times were great. Delicious, fresh and healthy food, super nice staff, this time more vegetarian options and a surprising wine (of which I must admit I forgot the name but it was unfiltered and had a really different taste). And so nice that the chef comes to your table to ask how you liked it. I'm looking forward to my next visit here.

We seemed to have the owner as sole waitperson the night we ate here, and a teenager served as food runner while there were two chefs in the front and one (sometimes) in the back, it seemed. Not sure why they were understaffed, but we were glad we'd arrived when they opened and got our food order in before the crowd descended. Food (my main of squid with ratatouille was perfectly cooked) was tasty and interesting though certainly on the pricey side (especially after coming from two weeks in Alps resort towns with terrific food and excellent value). Wine list was pricey, so we just had a couple of glasses (in preparation for a long flight home the next day). Service was friendly, but the owner totally got in the weeds, and we waited for half an hour for the check.Dear Santa Fean, thank you for your kind and proactive review. Unfortunatly I did not have the pleasure to meet you and take care of you as I had to face serious familly issues forcing me to leave the restaurant, at the last moment, to my colleague alone. I heard that the service was very crowded that evening and that he did his best to keep everyone happy. This situation is unusual and involontary. Unfortunatly life sometimes puts dificulties our ways and we have to face them. Nevertheless, I sincerely appologize if the service was bellow your expectations. We are usually 3 at the service to ensure a smooth and relaxing evening to all our guests. I hope that on your next visit I will be able to pamper you and take care of you as it is usualy the case in our restaurant. I wish you a safe trip back home and I will be expecting you on your next visit in Geneva. Kindest regards and take care. Nathalie

Went here for lunch in the "chasse" (game") season. The restaurant doesn't look like much on the outside, but is in fact a very nice, quaint bistro with lots of authentic details and bric-a-brac (notice the collection of classic hairdryers and soap dispensers in the bathroom!). Service is quick and friendly even though the restaurant was completely full. Portions are generous, but you can take away if you don't finish. We had two excellent game dishes, hare casserole with onions & bacon and deer with chocolate sauce and all the traditional game side dishes: chestnuts, spätzli, red cabbage and pumpkin purée. Desserts (crème brulée and amaretti mousse) OK but not remarkable. Impressive wine list and good choice of wine by the glass; we had the Chasselas, Gamay and Zweigelt which were all very good.If you feel like a good honest plate of food in a warm atmosphere (and willing to pay a bit more for quality), do not hesitate to book a table here.

Been there several times for business lunch and dinner. Always good (pricey) food, ok service. Been today again for an executive lunch with a very expensive check, before the waiter runs after you in the street because he forgot 3 limoncelo on it ... what a lack of courtesy. Will not go again.

We had lunch at Laz Nillo. The chef who works in service is very friendly and even offered us the espresso. The food is typical French: I had the entrecôte Parisienne with salad and fries, my friend the risotto. The food was very good!Dear Jamesfood,We thank you for your visit and your post. But please do not mention the free espresso, everybody will expect the same after this! What else? :)Kind regards,Mickaël & Philippe

We went for a dinner. This is a Michelin star restaurant. Though the prices are on higher side, itâs worth every penny spent. Everything from the appetisers to entree and dessert are cooked to perfection. The food is accompanied by a great selection of wines. Tried baby squids and lobster tail. Both were flavourful and delicious. Thank you a lot for your visit and your very nice comment. We are glad that you enjoyed spending time at our restaurant. Our menu changes every five weeks so that we always work with fresh and local products. We will be pleased to welcome you again soon.Stéphane
