This was our second time of eating at this charming restaurant in Noirmoutier and again we were not disappointed. The restaurant has great charm and the staff are attentive and friendly. There is a good choice of fish and meat on the menu. The food is almost nouvelle cuisine with smaller portions than other restaurants but all beautifully cooked and served. It is somewhere to go for a special occasion.

Really great food and service. Welcome is warm, service is quick.Food is fresh, local, delicious and well presented (Had the fish). Serves seafood and meat eater. Very decent wine list.A great place, right next to the castle. Would go back.Worth the hype !

As we were staying at the hotel, we thought we'd try the in-house restaurant (although the town is only a stroll away). It was pretty much full which may have taken the management by surprise. On the positive side , the food and wine were reasonably priced, tasty and classily presented and the setting charming. But, although there seemed to be plenty of staff around, service seemed stretched. One poor waitress, who seemed to be doing most of the work, was not adequately supervised and kept delivering things to the wrong tables. Our main course went to another table who had ordered the same combination . So they got their main surprisingly early whereas we had a very long wait indeed ( during which the waitress tried to serve us our cheese). All was eventually well and we were offered a complimentary drink in recompense,so we went to bed on balance quite happy. Unfortunately next morning, at checkout we found that the previous night's wine had "accidentally" been overcharged by Euro 11, exactly the price of our 2 "free" drinks. Call me cynical but, well...

Here for lunch after looking around reading reviews of cuttlefish, downstairs very busy Starters of foie gras ok & oeuf salmon which was bland egg raw - felt eating a breakfast dish - Fish main with confusing dollop of guessing squash smeared across plate with salad- fillet steak watery tasteless with salad leaves that had slimey Black areas not nice the shallot sauce was however lovely along with potatoes Desserts of cheese very ordinary and chocolate gateaux boring - we left feeling very disappointed it was all very hurried service we had arrived at 1.30 they obviously like to close by 3 so beware if you like to eat slow and enjoy leisurely lunches - wonât be returning sadly

I had moules-frites. the mussels were very good, but the french fries were bad. My wife had a steak, the meat was good, the french fries again were bad. My daughter ate crêpes, which were ok, but a bit expensive for a pancake. Staff was very friendly, but the food was not that special.

Never actually got eat there. There are ways of politely saying âwe are fullâ. However, three nights in a row, the Patron was so gratuitously rude, it was incredible.Dear monsieur. ... I 'm really sorry of what happened yesterday but as you known it's a really busy time for us at this time of the year . Making réservation is recomended in any restaurant, especially since mine has only 20 places. To answer to the rudness of the patron , i would not say that. Maybe one day if you book a table and have a diner at lâilot bleu you will see that hermann (employee)is a very kind person ,helpful and prefessional.Sincerely camille

The menu is not huge but there is certainly something for everyone. Everything is fresh that day, and very delicious! The menu changes according to what is available at the market. Veronique serves "with a smile" in the very small (26-person seating) restaurant, while her husband does the cooking and preparation. My wife had the fish, and I had the beef. We both started with the tomato and cheese, and ended with the lemon tart. Everything was superb!

My wife and I ate here on our second nite after booking in the morning. Our hotel had told us that currently it is one of the top places to eat. The early sitting was packed with families. Despite this everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a Mussels and French Fries Restaurant. We found this restaurant around Noirmoutier. The restaurant is at the production plant.Mussels are very fresh and well cooked. It is very good to be at the plant.Unfortunately the French Fries are not home made... It was industrial frozen French Fries... It is very bad...In this area they are doing potatoes so it can be very easy and better to have fresh French Fries.About the waiters they are so much professionals ... But we can excuse them as it is a restaurant at the plant...If you want fresh Mussels go to !

We ate outside from where you can see the oyster beds. Very simple and straightforward- great oysters and clams and a nice glass of muscadet at a very reasonable price. Also really friendly service.
