We visited this restaurant on a very busy day in summer. It was welcoming and no additional cost was added for it being a fete day. My friend had the steak which was enormous! The goats cheese salad was quite large as well. It was perfect being beside the little beach and very informal. Just what you need when you have kids in your party

Most restaurants on a main tourist street end of going for turn over instead of quality, this one hasnât itâs kept the quality and the food was great, service was quick and friendly and the decor and atmosphere is charming. Reasonably priced, give it a try.
Stopped here as we always thought that it looked nice and we weren't disappointed.Charming little restaurant with friendly staff - well, the main lady who seems to do everything.Found the menu a little limited and they'd run out of the main on the menu we liked the look of - the replacement cod fish was lovely though.Another couple were Vegan so she rustled up lovely omelettes for them.We also heard that the hotel is a nice place to stay. Not the cheapest but still very nice

"This superb Michelin-starred restaurant is located in a former hunting lodge nestled on the edge of the Andaine forest. Le Manoir du Lys is a stylish, family-run hotel providing guests with an idyllic escape from city living, and Head Chef Franck Quinton
In general meals here are excellent though there is a certain lack of personality in the decor and the restaurant. Bright chartreuse walls are not particularly conducive to a relaxed mood. Duck was memorable, the chocolate dessert equally so and in general I greatly enjoyed the food.Thank you very much and hope to see you again.

We are here on a Wednesday night. Not having a reservation, we were welcomed and seated. The staff were really friendly and our eight year old son was well looked after. The selection of food was good, more French than we had encountered elsewhere. The menu and restaurant have a distinctive Savoyard flavour, with a range of tartiflettes. All was flavoursome and interesting. Service was good. It was most entertaining to listen to the difficulties an English family at the next table encountered in ordering. They ordered in English so I suspect that they may have menus translated to English. I would return if I were in the area but Bagnoles is a rather sedate place, even in August.
En règle général je nâaime pas les tripes mais celles là tripes en brochette sont vraiment supers bonnes . Ce sont des vrais morceaux et très bonnes. Une spécialité à ne pas manquer si vous êtes de passage ou habitants de la région.

This wasn't my first choice of restaurant but the Ist choice had stuck a Complet notice on the door...This one was full too but they made space for me. Smart contemporary interior which was matchedby the service. The food was good-though this is not a restaurant for my veggie friends. Short menu featuring traditional dishes and local produce simply cooked. I was driving so couldn't tipple which was a shame as the wine list featured Menetou Salon by Jean Teille-one of my favourites. The restaurant is set back from the lake so perhaps needs to try harder. I liked it and would recommend you give it a try.Oh thank you so much, very nice and hope to see you again.

Bright and clean venue with friendly staff and good service. Good choice of Gallettes and Crepes together with salads and some meat/seafood options. Loved it

Better than great - it was absolutely marvellous !!! Fantastic sea food pizza, a light salad, walked down with great table wine. A real exceptional treat for a wheat free diet ( normally ) but this made up for it in spades. Great prices, very friendly staff who were always on hand - top marks !! Bravo !!!

We met friends there last month and were very, very pleasantly surprised. Whilst the menu was not extensive, the food was excellent and very generously served. We had beef with peppercorn sauce which was lovely. Afterwards we had just enough room for apple tart with cream. So nice to dine in an old building with beautiful decor. The curtains were simply gorgeous and being in an old building, the room was graciously proportioned. A gem waiting to be discovered! The prices were reasonable too and parking is just over the road. What more can one ask?
