Great in all respects, the meal was excellent, from the amuse bouche to the final petits fours. Special mention to the Miel de Briere starter. Service is very good and the setting is nice too. One of the best tables in La Baule.Dear Brian_M_8... I would like to thank you for your excellent comments about restaurant posted on Trip Advisor following your recent diner at the Relais & Châteaux Castel Marie-Louise.Hoping to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon at Relais & Chateaux Castel Marie-Louise..With my Best Regards.Lionel Massonneau

Strange experience. A very nice place and food was also tasty and well presented .However, when the fire alarm went off for around 15/20 minutes and no-one bothered to come with any sort of explanation things started to go downhill. Although others (presumably hotel guests) were served with no problem ,we waited ages for every course to appear, two things that took the gloss off what could have been an enjoyable evening

Between the surf and the turf in Escoublac, 5 minutes from La Bauleâs town centre, Céline Lehuédé looks forward to welcoming you in charming rustic surroundings with a young atmosphere. The chef, Frédéric Lehuédé creates an inventive cuisine with the best
I went to the Carpe Diem restaurant for a Sunday lunch with business guests from overseas. The restaurant is located about 2km from the La Baule beach front, in a quiet area with plenty of parking places for guests. The decoration is sober with shades of anthracite and the main dining room has about 10 tables, including a very large one that looks like it can seat 10-15 guests. At the end of the dining room there is a large fireplace, which was a nice touch on the drizzly day when we visited. The menu features about 6-7 choices for apetizers, 4-5 fish main courses, 4-5 meat main courses, and half a dozen desserts. We had 4 of the apetizers and shared them, so we each tried 4 apetizers. The foie gras poëllé was a big success with everyone, as were the fresh oysters and the escargot ball. The scallops were also very good, but that particular portion was a bit small. For the main course, we all had the slow-cooked sole, which was a delight and there the portions were so large that some of my guests could barely finish their plate. My guests all had the Valrhona chocolate desert and were extremely pleased with it.The meal started and ended with a plate of "mignardises" small free tidbits to tie one over until the first dish arrived, and at the end to accompany coffee. A nice touch. Overall the restaurant was half-full but service was extremely prompt and friendly.A great restaurant to which I will be sure to return.

So, we have returned to this restaurant already more than once during our stay here in La Baule! Why? The crepes are really delicious, including local sausage and other typical French options. The hosts are kind and enjoyable to talk with! Finally, this little restaurant is simply charming...in location (just off the town square) and decor! Really a must visit for a delicious meal and experience!!

I went on a business dinner to Le Billot, following the excellent ratings on Tripadvisor. I probably expected too much as I was a bit disappointed. The good points:The food was very good and the plates well arranged. The decoration is nice and provides a cosy atmosphereThere is room for improvement regarding:The friendliness of the staff. They were very professional, no problem; but a bit short on warmth, that made us feel as if we did not belong there, unlike the other apparently regular guests. The portions could be a bit bigger. I am usually hungry when I go to a restaurant. The location is quite small, which as such is ok, but the tables are really close to eachother. If you are looking for intimacy, I recommend to specify it when making a reservation so that they can maybe arrange something. All in all a good dinner but don´t expect too much either.

Tiny creperie in Lagarrige street. Crepes are very good, made in front of you (they use organic flour). Service is very friendly and prices are fair. Number of sits limited (can be a problem with large familly), but terrace is opened when not raining.

Excellent food. One of the finest restaurants Iâve visited. Fish and seafood outstanding. Very tasty. The service is very friendly and the Proprietor has excellent choices for you. Iâve been their twice within a few days and will definitely go again.

Happened to pass by the restaurant & decided to have an early dinner. The restaurant owner is very entertaining & speaks English. On his recommendation, I tried the tiramisu - surprisingly a savoury appetiser. I also tried the beef fillet & cod fish - all beautifully done. Delightful eatery.

Italian restaurant in the heart of Pornichet , we cook only fresh food! We make pizza like in Italia. We are open all year round, we have a beautiful terrace facing south and a cosy inside . Don't wait to try the best Italian place in the region.
Style, quality of food and a nice welcome.Ignore disgruntled reviews, this is a fine carefully crafted restaurant you would expect to find in Sloane Square or Chelsea.I admire the owners in providing high quality Italian food at reasonable prices with a personal service. We will be back with friends. Not to be missed. Many thanks for your visit and also for your great comments .We appreciated a lot .Hope to see you next time into the restaurant ....with pleasure Best regards

I went there tonight with my husband and my 2 years old son, we tried their set menu which had buffet starter and fish main course and buffet dessert ,it was so nice, starter buffet was so different fro. What you get In the UK, the waiter was so nice and polite and the table were having a nice burger which I'm planning to try next time I go there :)), however my husband had the dish of the day which was a bit disappointing as it was very dry and very small portion, all in all I enjoyed my night.
