Ok food. Mussels were good but my husband took fish and chips: fish was baked to much: was bent and overcooked, not tasty, also the dipsauce with this fish was too vinegary and sour. Because we took a starter I was satisfied with the portion of mussels, without a starter this portion would be too small for me. But if You really want to eat great mussels: go to Belgium and eat mussels from Zeeland.

We visited for lunch last week because this is my sister's local restaurant. It was several years since she and her husband had been there and they were very impressed by how much it had improved since their last visit. Unfortunately, the June weather meant that it was not fine enough to eat in the advertised garden but the room is pleasant and the food beautifully presented and they were very happy when we mixed and matched the prix-fixe menus with variations, including sharing. We were very sorry that the turbot dish was unavailable. Our main reservation was that the food was somewhat under-seasoned.Although we all have reasonable French (my sister and her husband fluent) we enjoyed the waiter who had spent time in Brighton and spoke very good English. Certainly somewhere to go back to when we are again in Champagne.

I often bring family members here for a drink or icecreams after a walk along the river and through the town. The terrasse at the back provides a quiet place away from traffic and pollution to chat. The drinks menu and the desserts are very varied and the service is good though it is getting more and more popular so you sometimes need to wait. Just a little note, you pay at the till between the terrasse and the bar...Thank you very much for your advice. In fact, we have two tills: one for tobacco and consumptions at the counter, when you are behind the restaurant you have to pay to the till between the terrasse and the bar. I agree with you it's not well signposted. Last but not least:We wish you an happy new year for 2016 ;))It will be a pleasure to see you again.Cyrielle

We've been on our way from Arles to Boulogne s Mer and then onto London when my wife pointed at the road sign reading L'Isle Adam! Not knowing anything about the town but also not keen to drive another couple of hours we've decided to stop over in this beautiful town.Managed to secure a hotel room and food became our next priority. Chose La Table de Gascogne for its location, good menu and general "good feel" - the restaurant looks as you've always imagined a French establishment to be. Full of character, inviting and good choice of dishes on the menu. We've been greeted by Jean Francois who's been very helpful and forgiving for our rather limited command of French. He made us feel welcome and was very good at recommending a substitute wine for the one we've chosen - needless to say it was a great choice. Me and my son, had three courses from the â¬15 menu whilst my wife decided on a Confit Duck - which is Gascogne's speciality. We could not fault anything at this fine establishment. Total bill for three came to â¬60.40 incl wine!!We will most definitely visit them again. Many thanks to Jean Francois and Kevin for being such a lovely hosts!!!

A truly fantastic food experience with a unique interior and relaxed setting. The cocktails are extremely fresh and one of a kind while the food is of the best quality with some imaginative fusion along with some classics. It is all presented exquisitely. The staff are friendly and informative. I will be returning soon for sure.Dear Laurence N,Thank you so much for your kind review. We are glad to read that everything went smoothly when you visited us. We truly hope to see you again very soon, enjoying a few fresh cocktails and some of this delicious food.Take care,Victor Travert

Fourteen days of eating out on holiday and we felt a bit tired of it.But we found this place, arriving at about 7 - it was fairly quiet but they asked if we had a reservation and we confirmed 'no'. About an hour later we understood why they were interested - because it packed out very quickly. They were very patient with our French - and made up for it with great English. The menu was very imaginative and our teenage boys loved what they had, as did Granny. The atmoshere just felt good - there was a buzz - and the waiters were efficient and very pleasant.I thought the price was very reasonable indeed after some of the bills we've settled.

Had a lovely lunch here. They mainly serve crepes but do serve other food. Itâs well presented and itâs a lovely, clean, modern place. Will probably be back in the summer as thereâs a terrasse at the back. This would be a great place for afternoon icecreams etc...

We had lunch at this nice restaurant. It has a very nice atmosphere, almost like being invited to someone's home. It has children's drawings hanging in the walls etc. The waitresses were extremely friendly and the food was excellent. I would really recommend this restaurant for a great casual lunch or dinner.

Small restaurant nicely decorated. The menu is not very extensive but offers a good variety of food and is able to satisfy every one. Tasty dishes with nice efforts of presentation. I would recommend to book in advance as the restaurant has limited seating. Overall good quality/price restaurant.
