The Hook of Holland (Dutch: Hoek van Holland, pronounced [ˈɦuk fɑn ˈɦɔlɑnt] ( listen)) is a town in the southwestern corner of Holland (hence the name; hoek means "corner"), at the mouth of the New Waterway shipping canal into the North Sea. The town is administered by the municipality of Rotterdam as a district of that city. Its district covers an area of 16.7 km, of which 13.92 km is land. On 1 January 1999 it had an estimated population of 9,400.

De Landbouw has private car park, we were able to close parking. The entrance you come in looks a bit like a cafetaria. Around the corner is a restaurant section (for our sense). The menu card is quite extensive and there is also a monthly menu served (in October 4 courses plus coffee for 31 euros) as well as various stews. Although the monthly menu is tempting, certainly in terms of pricing we chose from the menu. Thatâs rather pricy.For a nice appetizer and main course are you also so 30 euros. We chose among other things for the carpaccio, mussels au gratin and salad with fillet of beef. These dishes were beautiful, delicious and so worthwhile . As a main course we had grilled ribeye, lamb and mixed grill. The meat was cooked perfectly and to our exact specification so we can say the chef is in control. Nice crunchy vegetable there and apart served French fries with sauces. Serving staff is not serving for the first time: friendly, correct and exactly on time. Also pleasant that is explained in advance what outside of the menu can be ordered and also what is on the card but no more available (in our case only the Greek yogurt).Desserts menu: very many ice-cream variations. Our final judgment about De Landbouw is positive, with two caveats: 1. Prices should really not be higher 2. Interior needs a pump up!

We've stayed at the hotel and had dinner at the restaurant. We had a great overall experience: delicious and varied menu, professional personnel and goid selection of wines. We can definitely recommend this restaurant

After morning shopping we chose chez leon for lunch. This place is very nice to go to. Looks very nice on the outside and inside. The food here was very good en the sraff very polite and helpfull.

Wat was het een dramatische avond.. Voorheen gingen we altijd graag naar de akropolis omdat het altijd goed was.Sinds de nieuwe eigenaar vonden we het alsnog het proberen waard. Het restaurant zat halfvol en de bediening kon het al niet aan, mensen kregen hun hoofdgerecht voordat ze überhaupt iets te drinken hadden gekregen, wij kregen verkeerde gerechten die ook nog eens niet heel lekker waren, drankjes werden vergeten, gerechten werden niet tegelijk geserveerd en ik hoorde mensen om mij heen ook zuchten en steunen, het was echt een drama. Er liep een oudere vrouw overal langs om het kritiek aan te horen. Maar meer dan sorry zeggen kon ze niet, ze hielp ook niet echt terwijl het niet liep, best slecht voor een verantwoordelijk iemand.Er stond ruim voldoende personeel om het aan te kunnen, zonde hoor. Ik vind het jammer dat ik zo eerlijk moet zijn maar dit was de realiteit en ik hoop dat jullie er iets mee doen.

... and beware the automatic translations of other reviews. My Dutch isn't great, but even I can see that where the translation said "dreadful food" the review said "excellent quality for the price". Another translation left out the word "not", which obviously changed the sense a bit!I agree with the Dutch version. Not cheap, but well worth it for an interesting menu well cooked, a nice atmosphere, and friendly, attentive service.

We waren met 7 personen en de serveerster stond er alleen voor, maar ze deed het prima. Iedereen was tevreden over zijn bestelling. De lokatie is leuk als je onderweg bent van Kijkduin naar Hoek van Holland.Mijn cappuccino was lekker sterk en het begevoegde koekje smaakte heerlijk.

De Spaanse Vloot is niet meer. Nu is hier brasserie Chapter verrezen. Een mooie aanwinst voor het dorp. Een vriendelijke bediening vraagt al snel wat te willen drinken. De drank/snackkaart is uitgebreid. Er wordt een goede koffie geschonken (Nespresso). De lunchkaart biedt ruime keuze. Er zijn diverse soorten broodjes, lunchspecials en een lunchplankje (waaronder een mosterdsoepje). Ik besluit tot een clubsandwich die rijkelijk is belegd en vergezeld gaat van Cassave kroepoek. Het nodigt zeker uit om hier eens te dineren. Rolstoeltoegankelijk.

Het betreft een leuk klein restaurant. Het is niet verstandig om met groep van meer dan 10 mensen te gaan. Er is dan echt te weinig ruimte en dan zit je hier niet gezellig. Het eten was op zich prima, maar qua service had het wel wat beter gekund.

Was not to bad, but also not great. I like the style of food and the seats were really nice... Food was good, the service.. Mmmm.. to much pushing for more.. etc.. The kid was young, and he was enthousiast, but sometimes a bit to much present. When we asked him to give us some space.. it was better...Dear F792LSpeterv,Thanks you for your review.
