Accueil totalement froid et sans un seul sourire du début a la fin. La serveuse est juste glaciale et désagréable. Les plats de ravioles sont corrects ainsi que les salades mais sinon c'est pas bon, l'entrecote n'en ai même pas une c'est un bout de collier plein de nerfs dedans, les frites sont industrielles. Nous avons passé notre tour pour les desserts. Les plats sont vites servis mais tout aussi vite débarrassés alors que nous n avions pas tous finis de manger. Le barman et sûrement patron était sûrement ivre, nous avons attendu un moment avant de payer l'addition.. pas un merci ni un aurevoir de sa part. Restaurant a touriste qui s'en fiche de la satisfaction puisqu'il doit etre plein en permanence car bien situé par rapport au palais. Que dire des piliers de bars qui puent l'alcool et parlent des touristes de manière inadapté ?.. Pff restaurant horrible passez votre chemin !!

Six of us dropped in for lunch after meeting in the morning. The restaurant was busy but we only had to wait less than 10 minutes to be seated. The wait staff were very friendly and wanted you to have a great experience. I had a local craft dark beer which was excellent. I also had the frog legs ravioli with a side salad. My business associate suggested i also try the potato gratain for it was a local speciality as well. For dessert I had the chestnut sauce with ice cream and whipped cream. A Cote de Roun red wine to accompany it all. Tres bonne! The chef also came out to ask us how our lunches were which added a nice touch. The community is very blessed to have this restaurant in their country neighbourhood!

nous sommes arrivés par hasard dans ce petit restaurant et quel moment formidable nous avons passéquel plaisir de manger de bons produits en quantité impressionnante même pas de place pour un dessert ce jour là nous avons eu droit à un énorme plat de moules des frites maison et on a demandé une petite salade en accompagnement ils nous l'ont préparé directement et elle était énorme et si variée on aurait pu manger à quatre alors que nous étions en couple Muriel et son mari sont charmantsce lieu est un endroit où on rencontre des gens très sympas en clients égalementnous y retournerons aussi pour acheter leurs produits car ils font épicerie quel beau moment de partage quel beau village Après pour digérer rien de tel que de visiter le palais du facteur cheval

Thanks to TripAdvisor and Google that helped to find this restaurant. We visited it after Hautrives - it is not far, but absolutely no touristic. Câest une cuisine française riche et variée, très abordable que nous recommandons vivement. Le personnel est adorable et très compétent dans la lignée de celui du camping qui lâabrite, merci.

We took a lunch there after a visit of '' Le Palais du Facteur Cheval '' about 100 meters away and we appreciated the comfort and the coolness of the restaurant . We took 2 lunch specials at 13,50 euros : meat loaf and ravioles for my wife and the goat cheese salad for myself and appreciated both meals specially that the wine was included ! The service was friendly and efficient . overall , a real good value

Ravioles are not ravioli, they are typically local.... and the best we tasted were in this restaurant ! The only disappointment was that the window was advertising a play area for the kids, and it is actually an outdoor play area which was closed when we were there. Otherwise, all fine !

If, as seems likely, you visit Hauterives to see the Palais Ideal du Facteur Cheval, do yourself a favor and donât stop at the inviting terraces just outside the monument. As much as I feel sorry for them, the Relais is such a different quality of enjoyment that you should not miss the opportunity to have lunch there. The menu at EUR15.40 (notice the 0.40, unfortunately quite unusual in France) is a treat and a bargain, all in a pleasant decor and with competent, smiling service. The Relais is located on the roundabout next to the church, about 300m from the Palais Ideal and very close to the Facteurâs spectacular - but less visited - tomb in the villageâs cemetery

We had a very enjoyable lunch here after visiting the Palais Ideal du Facteur Cheval. Snail ravioli is a speciality, and it was very good, my husband had the steak which was also very good. Very good prices and service.
