L'ecoelle is our favorite restaurant in Les Saisies. It is located not directly on the main street but very close. It stretches about 2 floors and serves outside (at sunny times) as well. The food is nice french and savoyard style. They have standards as a magret de canard as well as a gastronomic burger or fondues. Everything is well prepared, fresh and with gout.Great desserts as well!At the same time the style is cosy and children friendly.

We had lunch here on market day (Wednesday) when the restaurant was packed with shoppers and stall-holders (so we were glad we'd rung ahead). For 15 Euros each we had: delicious cheese tart (Beaufort, of course) or terrine and either diots (local sausages) or trout, with either pommes dauphinoises or pasta gratin. It was a good thing that we went for the 'starter + main' choice and didn't order a dessert, because there is no way we could have made room for one. In fact, we couldn't finish all the pasta, good as it was. (This was probably the first time in our lives we have ever been too full to finish a meal.) The coffee wasn't very good, but we felt we'd had good value.

We treated ourselves to the Raclette dish which is popular in this region. It was delicious & a great experience scraping the cheese off a heated rack at our table. It was accompanied by a generous charcuterie plate, potatoes, bread & salad. There is nothing like this in Australia. The staff are friendly & attentive & the restaurant is surrounded by stunning views.

Owner is super friendly and talks to all of the customers and makes jokes. Food is good and abundant. All the specialties you can expect in that region are on the menu. Dessert is awesome with huge portions. "Tonton Christophe" gave me a nice birthday party with complimentary genepy drinks to all 10 of us. My family of 4 went back the following week and were greeted warmly. We had again some amazing food and a super ambiance. Can't recommend it enough. It will bring you happiness and memories forever.

Had an entree (seared fish thinly sliced with dipping sauce) and plat (duck casserole with something like cheesy pasta but awesome). Interesting, perfectly cooked and satisfying, far more interesting that the standard Savoyard options elsewhere. Delicious aperitif of the Maison, white whine with a pear liqueur and ginger. Service was a little slow, but warmed to us eventually when we kept trying to speak French.
Auxerre, Food Guide: 4 Tunisian food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Moneteau

Wonderful food, friendly service, great local Mont Blanc Brasserie beers, drunk in sight of the mountain. It's not a long menu, which is a good thing of course. We went on consecutive days and would be there now but for certain inconveniencing factors, like having to work to obtain the necessary food and rosé credits. If you like parapenters, you'll be in heaven. If not, a decent boundary arm throw with a bit of stale baguette should sort it out (you'll have to bring your own, however, as the stuff in the basket's fresh).

We have been to Les Saisies since several years. This year we discovered this new restaurant. For us is has been a great experience: french cusine gastronomique with japanese influence, a great combination for us. We had a menu of 5 services as a family. Everything is very fresh and intensively prepared with taste. The location of the restaurant is a little bit outside the center of Les Saisies but easy reachable even by foot (15 min).

Get in even if the front side is not that exciting. The food inside is very good, and the chef will give you the opportunity to complain if any problem as he is visiting each single table at the end... Meat is just perfect. Ask for specific dishes not on the menu like fondue. They donât want to look like all other places around, but they can do just for you typical Savoyard specialities if you really wish.

We happened to accidently drop by for lunch on a car trip through the area. Expecting a nothing out of the ordinary mountain/countryside restaurant, it turned out to be a wonderful surprise - and the best meal on our two-week vacation in the Alps. Instead of a selection of regional specialities, the restaurant offered something more in the style of âunpretentious fine diningâ based on local produce. The services was very friendly and enthusiastic, making the meal a relaxing and pleasant experience. The choices on the menu were rather limited. There was only a three course set menu available, which could be expanded to four or six courses. We opted for the basic version. All the dishes were beautifully presented as well as being tasty. Obviously made with great care and love for the ingredients. Each dish was perfectly sized, making the meal as a whole substantial enough to feel satisfied, without the feeling of being stuffed. For the hungry ones an upgrade to four or six courses might by advisable. There are probably cheaper meals to be enjoyed in the village, but taking the quality of the food and service into account the price level must be best described as a bargain. To sum it all up, I would say that this restaurant is well worth not only a stop your way through Hauteluce, but a destination on its own.
