Sunbathing, al fresco dining and late-night discos are a way of life in Hammamet, the Tunisian St-Tropez. Located on the fertile Cap Bon Peninsula, about 40 miles south of Tunis, the bayfront resort is surrounded by verdant hills and citrus groves. When not basking on Hammamet Beach, browse the markets for local pottery or wander through the medina (old city) with walls that date to 1500. Summer brings festival fever to the city with plenty of music and theatrical offerings.

The croissants are all gone by 9:30am so get there early. The spinach quiche was great. The 4 little tartlettes (lemon and mixed fruit) were very good. We also got some sweet bread for the next morning with chocolate and raisins. I didn't see the restaurant just the bakery...

This restaurant was opposite our hotel, The Royal Nozha and even although we were staying at the hotel AI we always like to find local bars and restaurants to try. We saw many local people eating on the shady terrace of this restaurant so decided to try it. The first meal we had was fillet steak and Gambas prawns with a bottle of local wine about £30 all in. The restaurant provided tapas type nibbles to start and icecream after our main course complimentary. The next visit we had the fresh Loup de mer or Seabass, we were asked how we wanted it and said anyway the chef thinks best, it came cut and cooked in cutlets but reassembled on a board as the whole fish. about three quarters of a a kilo perfect for two with a bottle of wine about £40 for two of us, this time we got a free liquer as well. The food is great but it really is the service that sets this place apart, the two guys waiting tables were friendly and efficient and we were allowed to eat at our pace, no rush crisp white table linen and napkins candles and fairy lights and clean you can just pop in for a drink in the evenings and the whole environment is romantic and special give it a try, dont just eat in the hotel go and be spoiled.

Spent a pleasant 3 hours in here the other night listening to the local rock band ZED. We didn't eat but the food served to other customers looked goid. Drinks prices very reasonable and the staff friendly. Only minor problem was that it got a bit smoky as smoking is allowed inside.

This restaurant deserves to be listed. Trully excellent food, superb fish, great presentation and proper service. Definately a must for anybody visiting [email protected]
Upmarket restaurant located in Hammamet Nord with outdoor dining facilities. Whereas the place is generally very busy with local staff, the food is average dependent on what is chosen. I ordered a Sole Meunière, which clearly did not meet my expectations; the fish was covered in butter and it appeared to me that an entire lemon had been squeezed over it for the finishing touch. The fish it self was fresh but did not taste right. My friend had a grilled snapper, which was good. Very expensive for local standard, disappointing overall.

Adra will transport you to the world of refined Tunisia, with ancestral and revisited flavors. The oriental-inspired decoration is a hymn to Tunisian elegance. The gastronomic experience will make you discover both classic Tunisian cuisine and novelties s
Staying at hotel and only ate once. The menu is limited for the hotel quality, and is at the expensive end. The quality was reasonable for price but nothing to rave about. The staff were pleasant and attentive,Thank you for sharing your experience. Adra is conceived as a gastronic journey we share with our guests and so we can't have large choices. 8 starters and 8 main plates are wide enough to get elaborate dishes. We have another restaurant, with a more relaxed atmosphere, La Kamilah.Hoping to see you back soon,Luxury Yours

Delicious food, great service, excellent prices. We had dinner here on our first evening here. We sat indoors, though others with warmer clothes sat outdoors. Service was very courteous, friendly and helpful, though for some, their English was a bit limited. We ate steak and fish, followed by a scrumptious almond flavoured gateau. The orange juice was freshly squeezed and deliciously wholesome! £20 per person. Great value for money.

You have a good impression when you first walk in - very stylish in design and friendly ambience. Fans are not annoying (which I find sometimes, preferring air con), but keep the temperature perfect on a warm evening. Smiling, welcoming waiters. Food in general was good - some nice nibbles 'gratis' (as is usual in Tunisian restaurants) and fairly varied choice on the menu (I think one or two things listed were unavailable). We had a wonderful shared starter, which was a kind of mixed seafood gratin (similar to a thermidor), which was huge for a starter and even though we shared it, I was too full to eat all my main course. (next time, I think I will order this as a 'main'). My son had steak, which he said was good, and I had a fish dish with accompanying spaghetti-style veg, which was plentiful but the fish just a tad overcooked, so couldn't give that perfect marks, but quite enjoyable. We were brought sorbets gratis after we declined ordering a desert (too full!) and even offered a digestif (I think again gratis) which we declined but appreciated the offer. As usual, the cost of the wine did bring the price up quite a lot, but in general, I also think the prices are on the high side for Tunisia. Probably only for the odd occasion, as you can find cheaper places to eat. However, highly recommended and intend to go again.I might mention the restaurant is on a busy main road and parking is a nightmare.
