The restaurant is located in the farmyard of a small village 25 kms south of Paris, famous for its castle and where they celebrate twice a year a plant festival.Tasteful environment and warm welcomeWe started with lobster in small slices with violet potatoes and citrus bed; main course was "pata negra" pork chop that was absolutely soft and delicious, and suckling lamb with season vegetables and gratin dauphinois; the lamb was excellent and melted in the mouth. For the main courses, we would have appreciated to have the pork and lamb served on warm plates to maintain the dish warmer. We then took home made lemon meringue pie with green lemon sorbet, and it was very good, but maybe too sweet.Good advice as regard the choice of wine (Vin de Loire). Definitely a place where we will go again in summer on their beautiful terrace.

Went two nights in a row. We were staying at the Landmark Trust property nearby and this is the nearest eatery. I had the same pizza both nights, one with a white cheese sauce and chicken. The pizza was very tasty both nights and the pasta that others had also looked very nice to.

Staff were very nice, menu was a little limited but then this is more of a bar than a restaurant and the food that there was, was very nice. I had the steak hachee and chips. The chips deserve special mention as they must have been cooked in something that gave them a unique, quite moreish taste. Staff were very helpful in anyway needed (a charger for a phone, clearing a space to change a baby) as we were there as a group of three adults and two babies seeing a friend who has recently moved from Australia.

This restaurant is part of a chain which seldom implies special culinary experience. The salty and sweet pancakes were enjoyable but nothing extraordinary. The menu for 19 EUR gives you a light meal with one drink and cofee/tea. Service was fast and kind. Being open on Sunday evening is a big plus for the place. Thanks for your review . We are open all year round , monday until sunday . See you soon on our restaurant .

The restaurant is attached to a small, rural hotel in a quiet village in the southern suburbs of Paris. Open only from 7:00-8:30pm in the evenings, it offers a modest, but varied menu of wholesome home-cooked food. The service was friendly and good. The food excellent and the price very modest. Three courses for under 20⬠is excellent value. The salad du chef was abundant and fresh. The entrecote was melt in the mouth and served with fries and fresh vegetables (which change from evening to evening) and the crème-brulée appeared to have been made fresh. There are plenty of options for most pallets. The lady attending had only rudimentary English (fair enough because that is the level of my French), but was very helpful and we made ourselves understood. She also apologised profusely because an influx of clients meant that I had to wait a few minutes for my steak. The restaurant is on the Place de la Mairie - in front of the town hall. The tables at the windows facing onto the square offer nice views and are highly recommended. The effect of the light of the setting sun streaming through the red leaves of the trees outside was stunning.

Lovely Friday night, English speaking kind staff. I made reservations through the phone. Nice music inside, better go there as a group and taste many dishes as much as you can. Spend the whole night. Delicious Brie with truffles on the cheese platter. We haven't tried the cheeseburger and heard afterwards its quite famous. So give it a try!

We have tried most restaurants around Gif sur Yvette area and we are convinced that " Les Saveurs Sauvages" is our favourite. We have been here a few times already, and this particular evening meal was the best one.We enjoyed the tastefully arranged dishes, food were delicious & outstanding. We were visiting the Golf Shop in the village and saw the restaurant opposite. We could not get a table outside ( it was very hot) however the helpful waitress found us a nice cool table inside. The lunch was 15 euros for three courses. It was excellent value for money.

We tried this restaurant recently, and were very pleasantly surprised. The decoration was cozy and looks better than the picture suggests (chairs are leather, and downstairs there are leather sofas). Open kitchen but well ventilated. Small menu, but each dish was very well done, good choice flavors and perfectly cooked. Wine - you can taste before you take your glass, or choose a bottle from the impressive choice in the cave. Very friendly service, and they have music sometimes too! We are going back tonight.
