Lovely Normandy restaurant, fairly close to my sisters home and about 20 minutes from Giverny. The Restaurant Gabriel looks âFrenchâ from the outside but more Scandinavian modern in the inside with one large room with 60âs wood and Formica tables. Though the room is large it is quite and somehow manages to feel intimate with 60-70s music playing softly in the background. The service was impeccable and the presentation very pleasing to the eye. They promote the products of the region through local producers so everything is fresh. We were each served a delicious cold green pea soup served in a parfait glass. I ordered one of their Menu options, they have several along with a few Ala Cart options. My starter was a shrimp cocktail, again presented beautifully and very tasty. My pork dish was divine and presented on a bed of an incredible chopped mushroom dish. My menu included the appropriate wine accompaniment, which was the only disappointment of the evening â light not full bodied. My sister ordered the filet mignon, again the presentation was lovely however she found the meat touch (she thought it fresh beef rather than aged). Her starter was an absolutely fantastic Foie gras. My brother-in-lawâs selection was the steak tartare which he said he would order again. Another lovely evening in Normandy. Price range 30E to 75E including wine.

Stayed last week as part of a fishing trip and really great place, rooms were large and clean and the food was great. They even do a picnic for you and really good value Great location for walkers as you can walk to town and the hills and I'm surge some good restaurants

Gaillon seems to be the only place in France where eating or having a beer is impossible on a Thursday evening, so thank goodness for Drakkar.They provided friendly service, good food reasonably priced, and went that little bit extra to help order a taxi and generally be good guys.I'd certainly recommend them as a relaxed, straightforward place to get some good food and a beer.

Very popular with locals, very welcoming, friendly diners, excellent food & drink. We had the â¬16.90 menu with charcuterie followed by confit duck & steak, but everything we saw looked equally delicious. The homemade desserts are delicious.Open mon-sat lunch plus fri & sat eves, closed all day wed.

The place is full most of the time for lunch. Better reserve a table. Food is excellent and freshly made. You can have a menu for 14 euros or simply choose a meal (appetizer or entrée). Food is typically french. Locals go there for lunch. the restaurant is a one man (cook) show. Perfect for a lunch with colleagues or lunch on a tour.

Excellent sea food selected with enthusiasm and taste. The raw seafood dish was one of the greatest I have had, with very fresh local products and wise suggestions from the owner. The wine selection was also very interesting. The place is very nice and elegant.

An accommodating host found us a table when activity was at a peak. We had an excellent lunch of 3 courses at a very good price of 19 Euros. Skate wing was especially good as was an elaborate apple confection. House wine was only moderate quality - will buy a bottle next time.

Dinner last night with Hubby and it was amazing! We do not speak French and were very warmly greeted. We were shortly provided with a server that spoke English. The Manager attempted to greet us as well and managed a âwelcomeâ in English which was charming.Dinner was delectable! The amuse busch was carrot foam with smoked cod and was a true delight to start.Hubbyâs entree of Duck was delicious but my fish dish was the star of the evening. The sauce complimented the fish like nothing weâve ever had before! It included spinach which also an amazing accompaniment.A cheese plate and dessert finished out our fixed price menu with an added bottle of Rose wine.The decor is fun and interesting, the staff very warm and welcoming and the food extremely wonderful! I highly recommend a visit.Rhhoooo ! Thank you so much for this wonderful message. It is so kind of you to express your feeling following your visit.
