We've been there a few days ago for a friend gathering and it didn't disappointed us. The starters and main dishes were just succulent with the according presentation in the plate. Staff is efficient and amiable. Have to do it again.

We ate here recently and as it was our first night in the area and it was late we took the recommendation from our accommodation to eat here.Good stuff..nice staff, nice breads..actually really nice bread..nice food and nice wineBad stuff.... all of the above nice stuff was way overpriced.. our bill was 120⬠for what I can safely say would have cost me â¬80 at home in a similar standard restaurant..indeed we ate 2 other nights in Aix en Provence in restaurants of similar standard and the bills on both occasions were less then â¬70. The food was good enough for a 4 star rating and although I want to rate it at 3 stars I feel it would be unfair to the business to do that as the only complaint I have was over its pricing so I am giving it 4 with a caveat....its not cheap

French semi-gastronomic restaurant - The Brazilian chef Rodrigo Augusto Silva offers a demanding cuisine composed of fresh and seasonal products which he brings a personal touch, inherited from his origin country. Le frelon d'or's team takes particular at
We booked ourselves in to try the set Menu after hearing great reviews from our friends. My husband has very high standards when it comes to dining out and neither him nor I were disappointed. The service was friendly and relaxed, the atmosphere was rustic with a sense of local charm and the food was a delight for the senses. We couldn't believe the great value when our bill arrived and next time we are back in the area we will definitely be returning here for a visit.

Just off the motorway, but you'd never know it, quiet country style establishment. They have a great choice of meat & really know how to cook it. They grill indoors on a huge wood burning griddle & it can get very hot - fortunately there's a very pleasant terrace so you can eat alfresco.

Welcome to our brand new make over area just in front of Saint Victoire in Peynier 15km from Aix en Provence. Angelique, Michael and Jeremie are happy to welcome you in their restaurant LES MICHELS. A modern style place to be with a free car park and a te
I was there with a group of 12 people for a business dinner. The first time I have been there was approx. 2 years ago; now the owner has changed and so has the restaurant. The interior and the appereance of the restaurant is quite nice (clean and up-to-date), with an outside seating area and a small relaxing area with some couches. The meals they serve are awesome (typical for the Provence area), different type of fish/seafood, steaks and other things. It was really hard to decide what to take. The selection of wine is also really good (which is quite common for this area). The quality of the food was high, everybody of our group was satisfied (mostly everybody had 3 courses). I had the "Thai salad" as a starter which tasted really authentic and as a main course the "Black Angus steak" cooked "Ã Point" with vegetables and it was delicious. As a dessert I had a "lychee sorbet" which nicely rounded off the evening. They also have the typical chocolate deserts ("Tout chocolate" etc.) which some of us took.Waiting times were a bit too long, and the service was average, that's why I am awarding this restaurant with just 4 points. Overall we had a really nice evening with great food and I would definetely come back.

Our first night in Provence. This restaurant was just up the road from our accommodation so we thought we'd try it out. It was a Sunday evening and for most of the night we were the only people there..... Our waitress understood but didn't speak English so we had a lot of fun communicating in our poor French. She was a good sport! She recommended one of the local Provençal Rose wines to have with our meal and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Food-wise - our shared starter of Assiette des Tapas was simply outstanding and not a morsel left on the plate. The mains were substantial, well presented but just seemed a bit lacking in seasoning or flavouring. And the main our daughter chose off the kids' menu was basically just a beef patty and masses of French fries. Not a vegetable in sight...... Overall we had a really enjoyable night, let down only by the children's meal and slight lack of flavour in the mains. Otherwise - if you're in the Fuveau area I would certainly recommend it. But avoid the kids' menu.

What a surprise. A hotel restaurant that serves anazing food, warm service in a beautiful dinning room. We had an excellent meal, original, fresh. Well prepared. From a truly amusing "amuse bouche" of potatoes and pickled califlower to an tasty rioast pork main and a tasty foie gras and artichokes ravioli starter. Pricing was very reasonable compared to the quality and originality of the cuisine. Worth a visit, not just a convient hotel dining room. Definitely make this a destination for a wonderful meal in Aix en Provence.Dear SeascapeScott,What a real pleasure to read such a good comment about our restaurant le Comptoir du Clos!We are really pleased to note that you enjoyed your tasting, our delicate dishes and especially our amuse-bouche.Our chef Arnaud Davin and his team will be delighted to welcome you again.Best regards,
