Really excellent food prepared with care. A small but varied menu. Everything looked so appetising. We ate there two nights running because it was so good. We were very impressed with the food. The chef was friendly and welcoming and took a real interest in how much we enjoyed his food. He was so helpful and friendly - as was the waiter. Perfectly situated just one block up from the main seafront and at the top end of the main shopping street. It was a real treat to eat there on two occasions and we would heartily recommend it. I should also say, the price was very reasonable too.

Located on the seafront of the Pointe de la Fumée on the peninsula of Fouras, the restaurant L'Océan welcomes you and makes you discover its elaborate home cooking fresh and local products.
This is where we go for seafood platters. Great setting overlooking the bay towards Chatelaillon. Lots of renovations have been done - it is very well presented. The menu has changed a lot over the years - they used to have a cooked seafood platter but now all of the options come with things we donât like so we do the build your own approach.Limited free parking so get there early or youâll have to pay to park across the road

One to avoid, one of the few places open on the night we arrived so choices were limited. This is a small casino and the restaurant is on the other side of the foyer.Would have hoped the food would have been better to attract guests, received the smallest steak I have ever seen and when i made a point the waitress just shrugged.I would attempt to find somewhere other then here if you are in the area.We would like to thank you for your comments regarding your evening at Casino de Fouras. We do not usually have any problems with the quality and quantity of the meal and we are really sorry that you perceived it like this, we are constantly striving to improve our services and services we offer to our customers.

I had bar, very good but a tad overcooked. My wife and accompanying couple shared a massive âboatâ of seafood so big that i had to pitch in. Wonderful staff, good wines. Oysters came right from the sea. Lots of fun. Worth a visit to be sure.

My wife and I plus friend who was staying with us came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We booked a table for 7:30 and were given a front row seat in the conservatory section that faces Fort Boyard and the sunset. Initial impressions of service were not good. We were not asked if we wanted an aperitif, the waitress who was taking orders was very unfriendly to all and she took orders from two tables that had arrived after us. However, she was then replaced by an older waitress who was much friendlier and also efficient. We all had the 29⬠set menu. Our friend and I had the fish soup which we both thought was good. My wife had a hot goat cheese salad which turned out to be something that looked like a Welsh rarebit with some lettuce. My wife said it tasted nice. For the main course I had halibut which appeared to be two fillets from an extremely young fish which were fresh and well cooked but did not have the depth of flavour that I have experienced when eating more mature halibut. My wife and friend had cod which they both rated as very tasty. The fish dishes were accompanied by a very solid and not particularly appetising mashed potato and a cube of some sort of vegetable flan which we could not identify. Both fish dishes were served with a rich and tasty sauce. For dessert our friend and I had apple tart and apricot tart respectively which were good with plenty of fruit. My wife had a pannacotta dish which she said was very rich. Service was speedy. We placed our orders at 7:55 and had completed the meal by 9:15. Although it hadn't been a particularly hot day the conservatory got very warm and was almost overpowering when it filled up to the point where we needed to ask for windows to be opened. By 9:00 every table was full with what looked like locals rather than tourists. The restaurant specialises in fruits de mer dishes and these looked copious and were clearly popular despite the price. Overall I would say that you will get a better meal in the centre of Fouras unless you particularly want the assorted shellfish dishes which central Fouras restaurants don't appear to offer.

This sea view restaurant is at the end of a line of them on the beautiful front at Fouras. On the day we went it was by far the most popular, for good reason. Exceptionally pleasant and helpful staff and very good local food.. And, on a hot day, shade well managed by the staff...

A fantastic, friendly restaurant overlooking the sea at Fouras. The service is second to none, the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. We stayed in Fouras for two nights and ate here on both nights having checked out some of the other restaurants - we are so glad we chose this one. I fully and wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

This Creperie is excellent. I visit Fouras a few times every year and will definitely be returning to Creperie Gwel Kaer. The service was excellent and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My husband and I both had galettes followed by crepes and the food was delicious. We were in Fouras for a week and visited the Creperie several times whilst we were there. We will definitely be returning.
