Chef Pierre Gagnaire runs the cuisines of the Restaurant de La Grande Maison by Bernard Magrez, proposing a genuine and sincere cuisine that he reveals thanks to his chef Jean-Denis Le Bras, his faithful lieutenant for more than 11 years. Together they pr
From the moment we walked in the door, everything was a cut above the rest. From the service to the food and wine and the ambience of the dining room our evening was highly memorable. We had the matched wines and the pairings were spot on. The set menu was outstanding and in true Gagnaire tradition included many add ons. If you are looking for a fabulous wine and food experience in Bordeaux you canât go past La Grande Maison.Dear Guest,We would like to thank you for taking the time to write us this very nice review. It was a great pleasure to welcome you at La Grande Maisonde Bernard Magrez and we are delighted to read that you enjoyed your experience among us, and in particular our wine pairing . Pretty restaurant with great atmosphere and music. Super nice and friendly staff. We both had cocktails, Entrées and main dishes. The fish du jour was really tasty with its sweet and sour tamarin sauce served with yummy sweet potato puree. My husband got the traditional dish tuna tataki and the manioc leaves were a delicious and fresh new flavor.

The restaurant is very popular so you have to book in advance. The place welcomes groups and on a warm evening you can eat out on the terrace. The staff is very friendly and efficient. There is a nice selection of dishes and everything is cooked nicely. If you don't want the fries, you can ask for vegetables instead. We went there as a group and everyone was very happy with their choice.

what a Lovely place!Went there to have lunch yesterday and even tho the weather was so bad, it was totally full of people willing to have its menu. All kind of ages inside, but it is true that there were more aged ones since the place can be expensive depending on what you have. The menu my gf and I had was just great. We had a free hot lil soup and a sushi maki that were very nice. Right after I ordered myself some crispy makis and my gf had an egg and mashroom soup which were SO GOOD. As main dish I took cote de boeuf that was maybe too cooked but that was prob my fault. My mother-in-law had something out of the menu and everything tasted fantastic as well.I recommend it but you gotta know you are not gonna spend less than 35-45 each.

What a gem!! I had an amazing dinner at this very pleasant and not pretentious restaurant and will definitely be going back for more. Ordered a "menu" which began with a starter salad that was close to being a work of art. Ingredients were obviously very fresh and the presentation was first class. Could not have been better. For the main course I selected a fish dish that was served on a bed of black risotto. I was equally impressed with the presentation and it was totally delicious. The glass of rose' wine was really quite good and a bargain at less than 4 euro. The dessert was just as great as the rest of the meal. Service was very friendly and helpful and I didn't even have to use google translate as the waiter knew enough English to help me choose.Overall an excellent meal and the total with a glass of wine, a great cup of coffee came to about 27 euro. Add in 3 euro tip and it was 30 euro very well spent.

Finding restaurants like this tucked away I a quite neighbourhood of Merignac is what visiting France is all about. The restaurant is family and couple oriented. There's a great welcome when you arrive into surroundings of traditional and modern. We tried the Chef's menu which was 3 courses and an amuse bouche all for â¬35. What a bargain for a. Saturday night. Good wines are available by the glass. The a la carte menu looked very tempting as well but it is tough to beat the Chef's menu. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

We heard so much from trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. We are a family of four. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. Isabelle was a great host and took great care of our needs through out the evening. Every dish was a surprise. Thank you.

Located on the rue Croix-de-Seguey in Bordeaux, this intimate and romantic restaurant is a top dining destination for discerning foodies. Run by the husband and wife team of Denis and Nelly Franc, the cream-coloured dining rooms at Le Pavillion des Boulev
If there is one dish to win my heart over in a restaurant, it is the smoked foie gras with coffee sponge at Le Pavillon des Boulevards. Itâs the perfect match of flavours and texture. It makes me want to go back to have that dish anytime again! We had a very nice dinner at the restaurant. All the dishes were beautifully presented and tasted delicious apart from the fish âtartarâ which perhaps needed a bit more intensity in its flavours. The wine matching with each course were great, compliments to the sommelier. Service was efficient and friendly. The ambience was tranquil. We got a table overlooking the courtyard. With the natural light of the long European summer days filling the all white interior of the restaurant, itâs very soothing and relaxing! Together with the delicious food, we could sigh a happy sigh: âAh! Life is good! â
