This restaurant may not suit you if you don't have a sense of humour! Arm chairs, bean bags, tables and chairs, bowls made from old records, a section with toys for children, an upright piano, the list goes on! Amazingly friendly family run restaurant with Irish connections so they have lovely Irish salmon and mackerel on the menu! Great views over the ria d'Etel while eating.... So if you like good food in an alternative but fun atmosphere this is a must restaurant!

Specialties are nice to have but hey, Côte & Jardin will be enjoyable if you're in for an all evening dinner, not for a quick one. We came here had two formule plats entrees & main course and it took about two hours of waiting and enjoying. Good real French / Breton food, but a bit on the snobby side it was, as the promise wasn't exactly fulfilled.

The restaurant has a welcoming feel and spacious the tables not to close to each other freshly prepared food presented to look inviting .the menu was explained clearly not a huge choice but we just went with it and loved it . we had a brilliant experience of an evening individual cooking style we will re visit .definitely the best all round food experience we've hadIn france

Anthony Bourdain said, "Choose places with small menus with a tight focus, places that know what they are good at and that do it relentlessly" and that sums up Le Saint Guillaume perfectly. The restaurant evolved out of an oyster farm which, to my knowledge, they still run. You can eat outside or in (I recommend 'in') and the views over the ria d'Etel and St Cado down to Pont Lorois bridge are superb. Only seafood on the menu, no chips or veg, served with excellent, local rustic bread, butter and mayo. All super fresh and very reasonably priced. A large seafood platter that would easily feed four costs just 51â¬. The 'classique' is also great value (21â¬), enough for two. Order it together with a crab and you've got at least two hours' crunching and munching ahead of you. Most dishes are served by the owner himself with hired in staff in busy periods. If you've a birthday to celebrate, tell them! You'll be surprised at what they do. Highly recommended - reservation advisable.

This hotel & restaurant is one of the good old Logis de France affiliation, always comfortable places to stay and usually with good restaurants. This is no exception. The menu at 25 euros was good value. Starter was palourdes farcies, delicious !Main course was brochette of St Jacques with sauce hollandaise and rice. It was cooked just right and was excellent and was followed by cheese or dessert. There were plenty of other menu options including plateau de fruits de mer, oysters, langoustines, all fresh from the sea. Very good wine list. With the main course we had a bottle of chilled Brouilly from the Beaujolais area, bottled by Mommesin. Even my lady wife, the Duchess, was impressed. This place is family run and the service is excellent.

This place was taken over by new owners early 2015 and completely re-styled into a very smart interior with imaginative décor, marine style. The charming new owners call it "cuisine creative" and it certainly is. Starters of Moules Farcies were delicious with a subtle taste of spicyness. Main course of Gratin de St Jacques was delicious. Good wine list, most of it available in pichet 50cl. although we were eating a la carte, there was a set menu around 13 Euros which looked quite appetising. In short a very pleasant experience and a place to be highly recommended.

Beautiful place, beautiful crepes! My first taste of crepes on this visit to France - absolutely delicious, and in a stunning setting. We were quite early as we just dropped in whilst cycling (around midday) hence they weren't set up, although staff were very attentive and friendly. We only tried the crepes, not gallettes... maybe next time...!

Totally unassuming, this local bar-restaurant on the corner of the Ria Etel is a real find. Mostly known to local folks who use the small beach and little harbour of Le Magoer, it is well off the beaten tracks. As an annexe to the Bar Tabac crowded by the locals, the restaurant is not more than a large covered terrace with a few tables. Open from April to September, weekends only except during July and August when it is open daily, Tal Er Mor with its quirky name and decidedly Breton attitude between gruff and friendly, offers a simple, short menu of tuna or beef a la plancha or tartare. Served on a hot plate, with perfectly cooked French fries, veggies and a couple of sauces (béarnaise and provençale, both homemade and delicious), the tuna is juicy, thick and tasty. It is simple but perfect. The rump-steak served also as a thick slab on a hot plate is equally juicy and tender. Youâll travel miles and miles along this stunning coast to find one that remotely matches the honest goodness of what is served here. Desserts are magnificent in simplicity and taste. The apple tart is tangy and sweet with a perfectly cooked crust. It feels like wrapping yourself in a comfortable blanket your grandmother knitted. Very decent beers from a local brewery in neighbouring Plouhinec - LâHermitage and short but carefully selected wine list. The Malbec is a steal at â¬15 a bottle. Friendly, efficient, no fuss service. A meal for 2 with a couple of beers, a bottle of wine and desserts comes to a very reasonable â¬65. Excellent quality and incredible good value. Highly recommended if you are on the south coast of Brittany. Do reserve though. The place gets booked up.

We found this great creperie on a cold December night... Friendly efficient service and fantastic galettes au blé noir! My husband ordered a galette with scallops and curry sauce and I had one with fresh salmon and spinach. The kids went for classic ones with ham and cheese...and were not disappointed. Crispy galettes, creative presentation and fresh ingredients... Everything you'd hope for. Desserts were equally delicious. We'd all recommend this restaurant without hesitation. We'll definitely go back ourselves.

We went to this Crêperie in family after a windy morning at the closed by beach. The typical Briton atmosphere and the pancakes were superb! Even the kids enjoyed their meal which was under our expectations. Great service with the right mood. Very good prices as well. Highly recommended.
