This is a fantastic spot to stop for burgers, pizza and an assortment of good food followed by ice cream cones during their season. This January was the first time I had gone to Chez Mel's in the winter and although I was disappointed, I was not surprised to find the place closed up and snow piled to the front doors. I highly recommend this place for a stop if you're in the area and if you're lucky the beautiful Stephanie will take your order with a big smile. Try it, you'll like it.

After an experiment with a gourmet hamburger menu for a short time in the summer, and a brief closure in Oct, we are much relieved that a new chef from Quebec City is providing the great cuisine we have experienced in the past at the Auberge. The menu is smaller - only 3 appetizers and 8-9 entrees at this time - but is more than adequate, with cod, salmon, veal, duck, and beef dishes when we were there - my duck and my wife's veal were beautifully plated and delicious, and service, as usual, was excellent. The atmosphere is the same - quiet, lovely décor - when coupled with excellent service and food make it the best fine dining in Edmundston (actually St. Jacques).

Decided to try this restaurant after reading it was the best steak house in Edmundston, and being recommended to it by our hotel. Service was great, food was very good - despite a misunderstanding we had where my husbandâs food was never ordered - nonetheless, we would visit again. The only drawback- restrooms are located right by the main entrance to the restaurant...little weird
