Find out what French restaurants to try in Edegem. Edegem (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈeːdəɣɛm], first mentioned as Buizegem in 1173) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Edegem proper. On January 1, 2006 Edegem had a total population of 21,668. The total area is 8.65 km² which gives a population density of 2,504 inhabitants per km². The old Sint-Antoniuskerk (church of Saint Anthony) is no longer open to the public. It is not sure when it was first built (some sources go back as far as the 16th century).

We were here before, several times, and it was always very good, the suggestions are very surprising, but fresh and very good! They are going to move to the liersesteenweg in Mortsel, but I'm sure that they take their faithfull customers with them. Congratulations to the owner and his lady, what a team!

One year after opening, this restaurant got a 13/20 in Gault&Millau, that and along with the impressive curriculum vitae of the chef, I was eager to see and eat at this place. And I was not dis-appointed at all. We enjoined the 'suggestie-menu', all beautiful presented and tasteful. Each dish had a nice twist of the chef, showing his creativity, something that one expects in the better restaurants.Also from a service perspective, no negative comments. For example, there was one dish most of the group didn't like but by notifying the chef at reservation, he provided a very suitable alternative.

It is a big restaurant, so when it would be full I suppose it can be noisy, but when we were there is was OK. If the weather is nice you could also sit outside in the garden. They have a menu , 3 starters to share, main course and if you take the drinks included, then you would have an aperitif, 2 glasses of wine, coffee or tea and desert = â¬60, without the drinks it is 45â¬. i think the 60⬠one is better value, but if you have to drive a car, but we opted for the 45⬠because we had to drive afterwards. The food is very good, and the waitresses are very friendly. Parking is free and there are a lot of parking spaces, even across the road. Worth to try this restaurant.

If your restaurant is nr 1 on trip advisor you can expect some critical guests and on our visit we were certainly not convinced it deserved this titel. We were here on a saturday night with some friends. We were invited in friendly and the service itself was very good except for the timing (see later). There is only a choice in 4 or 5 course menu with optional cheese. We opted for 4 and cheese added (cheese to replace desert is also possible) so in total we still had a 5 course meal. When we refused the wine pairing (this time mainly because we had to drive home after) we had a first sign that they did not like it. We chose a bottle of our own and than experienced this : the first two courses came fluent and then we had to wait an hour before the main arrived and only after i asked why it took so long ? Meanwhile they emptied our bottle very quickly into our glasses hoping that we were to order a new one. But we had decided it in advance to keep alcohol very low that evening. SInce it was a white wine and we were waiting to finish it with our main course and the hour waiting time our wine was warm when it finaly arrived. The cheese and dessert arrived then straight after meaning we had to eat the three last courses in half an hour time. It all felt a bit strange this timing and attitude altough i never had the feeling they disliked us, it was just that feeling of not doing what they expected that sent us home with a bad taste. Concerning the food it was good but to us experienced michelin stars eaters nothing came exciting some parts on the plates were even lacking of flavour, so on that part you can have a good plate of food but nothing worth to drive 100 km like we did for it.This is one i will not return to.

Fantastic, I was very impressed! The food was super! Simple but wonderful! the service was just right. I had filet with nice potatoes and carrots which was great. The recommendation for wine was spot on. The dessert was so great too, rhubarb prepared multiple ways was sooooo good. I can't wait to go back again!

I have not been in this restaurant over 18 monthsI was happy to be again the food the wine selection the serviceAll were extremely good and deserve all the compliments .The place is off the city center but for a very good Belgian cuisine itâs worth while to try it

Iâve visited many Michelin starred restaurants across the world and The Jane deserves theirs. We were upstairs at the theatrical style dining. Exquisite cuisine from start to finish. Great service. We loved the theatrical style of the chefs carefully preparing each course. The flavours did presentation were awesome. My only negative comment would be that the area become very hot because of all of the cooking and heat rises from below. £££

A young couple who run a very nice restaurant on their own and serve fresh homemade food for a good price, what more can you ask for ?! A very nice welcome and clear explanations concerning the ingredients and dishes is what you get when you go to Tisson. We've been there a few times and we are definitely going back !

It has been a while we visited this restaurant, but it was suggested after submitting a review on another restaurant.Fair enough it is not cheap, but given the quality level of many places whereby you only pay 10-20% less, this is well worth the difference.Very refined, fresh ingredients, intriguing combinations of taste and welcome accommodation.Happy to there again, for the right occasion.
