Very sociable evening with Eric, the host, amusing and attentive. We spent 3 hours having a good meal including some aperitifs and red wine in the cost. Good value. Good company. Lovely setting. Would recommend this. Near to Cenac et St Julien where there are not many restaurants open in the evening in June.

The Hotel Is Listed But Not The Restaurant Is A Separate Entity
We were last in the Dordogne 6 years ago when this gem of a restaurant was recommended to us- we found it so good we went twice for dinner. Returning to the area this year, we wanted to recreate our previous experiences & were not disappointed. We had to reserve a table, and found the restaurant full for lunch and dinner. The service was outstanding. A menu was available in English and there were several options - including a reasonable fixed price for two (â¬29) or three (â¬33) courses. There was also a solid wine list and our attentive waiter offered suggestions to our tastes. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, with local ingredients and regional twists. Overall another wonderful dining experience.

Stayed in a village near here and was advised by the hotel owner to try this restaurant, Well we wrre not dissapointed, we had the set meal for 21 euro, main course I chose pancake with cheese ehich was a meal in its self, then I had the steak in brown Ale which I didnt like it tasted ad if they had put sugar instead of Salt, but the veggies were good. The desert was icecrean with Cream

After a number of years visiting the area annually, we finally went to this restaurant. We really enjoyed it and returned two more times during our stay. The wife of the chef is charming and manages the dining room. She is friendly and winning. Food is delicious, with the Burgundian style snails being especially recommended. The price/quality ratio is excellent. Well worth going.Merci beaucoup de votre message o plaisir de vous revoir et de vous recevoirLydie et Bruno

We, Carlyse and Olivier have been established in this quant restored stone farm house with its exposed beams and open fire place since 2014. In appropriate weather, you can enjoy your gourmet meal in our flowered landscaped garden terrace. Our philosophy
This food was truly outstanding, especially the duck breast. This was an excellent meal at a reasonable price. The atmosphere is casual and friendly.

Situated at the summit of the medieval town of Domme, on the Esplanade, which dominates the Dordogne valley. From the restaurant, which is shaded in harmonious yellow and blue to the rooms with antique furniture, you can experience and enjoy the Dordogne
As we did last year, we had a wonderful meal at L'Esplanade with the most spectacular view of any restaurant I know. Eager for Dordogne foie gras, I ordered it for each of the first two courses, a bit too much in retrospect.I finished with their signature banana souffle! We'll return next trip to Dordogne, of course.

ur restaurant proposes you a menu every week, with fresh products Starter, main course, desert for 25.00 ⬠We have as well a Brasserie menu with different kinds of salads, local products and grilled meats We mainly cook fresh products following the season
We eat regularly at La Traverse. How can you go past a creative three course menu at 24 euros, with well-presented and interesting dishes, not standard tourist fare, and well-priced wines (from ~20 - 40 eu/bottle). The menu changes monthly, service is efficient and friendly, the room is nice and bright with space between tables and early evening sunshine. They have menus in English.

A lovely discovery in the medival village of Domme. The restaurant having a particular charme with courtyard that especially on hot summer evenings is a lovely experience. The meals are all of high quality, freshly prepared and in a combination of solid ground with innovative elements. As a starter I had graved salmon that was of outstanding quality and served with a very ligh delicious horseraddish mousse and an incredible sorbet (yes!) made of lemon/lime and melissa. The "Tatin de canard forestier" was a lovely discovery of duck/mushrooms and potatoes presented in perfectly thin backed pastry. That's for the 4 points. The 5th point is clearly given to the enthousiastic service provided by the young service team. Very friendly and even though all tables were occupied they remained efficient, took their time and knew the dishes perfectly well.

A superb meal had by all the family from a multiple choice plat de jour. Bench style seating with a plain but attractive ambience. The Madame looked after us exceptionally well despite our poor French and her lack of English, explaining each dish and how we would like our beef cooked, which was cooked to perfection. There were another group of four plus a couple but service was not slow but not rushed. Every part of the menu chosen was delicious and flavoursome! Will definitely visit again just for the local beef.
